IIHMR Bangalore, Dvara Health Finance to Launch Diploma in Community Health & Digital Healthcare; Who Can Apply?
IIHMR Bangalore's Diploma in Community Health & Digital Healthcare programme aims to support the Seeks to support the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) by creating a workforce proficient in deploying point-of-care diagnostics, digital health records, and telemedicine.
Dvara Health Finance (DHF) and the Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR), Bangalore, have partnered to launch a Diploma in Community Health and Digital Healthcare Operations. This programme aims to familiarise healthcare workers with connecting digital health technologies, patients, and healthcare providers, specifically in rural and underserved areas. The programme is expected to launch in August 2025. The IIHMR and DHF's initiative supports the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) by creating a workforce skilled in using digital health records, diagnostics and telemedicine.
The Diploma in Community Health and Digital Healthcare Operations is an 11-month diploma programme divided in four competency-based levels:
- Community Health Facilitator: Educating communities on preventive healthcare, hygiene, and digital health record creation.
- Digital Health Technician: Conducting health screenings and managing digital patient data.
- Digital Multipurpose Health Worker: Performing phlebotomy, handling imaging tools, and supporting diagnostics.
- Community Health Leader: Leading public health campaigns, coordinating referrals, and improving community engagement.
The programme includes practical implications, ensuring graduates are ready to improve primary healthcare services and health outcomes using digital tools and community-driven solutions.
Diploma in Community Health and Digital Healthcare Operations: Who Can Apply?
The Diploma in Community Health and Digital Healthcare Operations is suitable for students who have completed Class 12 (any stream), with a preference for those with experience in healthcare or community service. Applicants shall have basic digital skills and be able to communicate in the English language.

Eligible candidates would have a selection process which comprises a group discussion (GD) followed by personal interview (PI). A selection on basis of scoring the following national entrance tests or their aggregate or IIHMR- MAT /CMAT; CAT / XAT/ NMAT, along with scoring marks from GD and PI are followed to decide for selection. During personal interviews, original documents need to be produced to authenticate it at the venue of interviews. A minimum 50 percentile in the entrance exam; otherwise, candidates must appear in IIHMR-U MAT.
