Spot Counselling for Vacant PG Seats at CUH on 19 August
Central University of Haryana (CUH) will hold spot counselling for vacant postgraduate seats on 19 August 2025 in hybrid mode. Registration is open from 14–17 August for MA, MSc, MBA, MCom, MTech, MCA, LLB, LLM, MPharm, and other PG courses.
Central University of Haryana (CUH) will conduct spot counselling on August 19, 2025 to fill vacant seats in its postgraduate programmes for 2025–26 academic session.
CUH Registrar Prof. Suneel Kumar informed that counselling will be held in blended mode, for candidates to participate either online or offline. Online registration will remain open from 14 to 17 August 2025. Candidates must report to the respective departments or join online by 11:00 AM.
CUH offers a wide range of postgraduate programmes across multiple disciplines. In the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences stream, the university offers M.A. degrees in subjects such as Economics, English, Hindi, Hindi Translation, History & Archaeology, Journalism & Mass Communication, Political Science, Psychology, Sanskrit, and Sociology, along with an M.L.I.Sc. in Library & Information Science.
The Commerce and Management field includes M.Com. and MBA programmes, while Education department offers M.Ed., B.Ed. (Postgraduate variant), and M.P.Ed. in Physical Education and Sports. Science and Technology courses include M.Sc. in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Geography, Mathematics, Microbiology, Nutrition Biology, Physics, Statistics, and Yoga; MCA; and M.Tech. specialisations in Computer Science & Engineering, Energy Systems & Management, and Structural Engineering. Law aspirants can enrol in LL.B. (3-year) and LL.M. programmes, while the Pharmacy department offers M.Pharm. in Pharmacognosy and Pharmacology.
The seat matrix shows intake numbers varying by programme, for example, MA (Journalism & Mass Communication) has 25 seats, MA (English) 40 seats, and M.Com. 45 seats—allocated as per reservation norms. In terms of eligibility, candidates from the general category require a minimum of 50% marks in their undergraduate degree, with a 5% relaxation for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, and PwD candidates. Certain courses have additional requirements: MCA applicants should have studied Mathematics at the undergraduate or 10+2 level; LL.B. aspirants must hold a graduate degree with at least 45% marks; M.Ed. candidates need a B.Ed. or equivalent with at least 50%; and M.Tech. applicants should have an engineering or related background with at least 55% marks.
After JEE session 2 is completed, only those candidates who are aiming for IITs need to start preparing for JEE Advanced after clearing JEE Main. Those who are above the 98th percentile should start preparing for JEE Advanced as soon as possible. Those below this, between the 95th and 98th percentile, should focus on attempting more mock tests and previous year question papers so that they have a better chance of clearing JEE Advanced
CUH has advised candidates to complete online registration by August 17 and ensure they are ready to participate in person or virtually on August 19.
