CLAT Applications Available: No Subject Limitation 

CLAT 2027 Applications: Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has opened application for Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2027. Candidates willing to get admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes can submit their CLAT 2027 applications through official website consortiumofnlus.ac.in. CLAT application window will remain open until October 31, 2026, at 11:59 PM.

CLAT 2027: No Subject Limitation for UG Applicants

Candidates from different academic streams can apply for five-year integrated LL.B. programmes through CLAT 2027. The Consortium's UG eligibility criteria require candidates to have passed Class 12 or an equivalent exami with at least 45% marks. For those belonging to SC, ST and PwD categories, minimum required marks are 40%. It must be noted that eligibility criteria do not prescribe a particular Class 12 subject stream for appearing in CLAT UG. So, those from Arts, Commerce, Science and other eligible streams can apply for CLAT UG, provided they fulfil the prescribed qualification and other admission requirements.

There is also no upper age limit for candidates appearing for CLAT UG 2027. Those who are appearing for their class 12 qualifying exam in March or April 2027 are also eligible to apply for CLAT. However, they will have to provide proof of passing the qualifying examination at time of admission.

CLAT 2027 Exam Date

CLAT 2027 examination is scheduled to be conducted on December 6, 2026, in offline mode. The exam will be held from 2 to 4 PM. Eligible PwD candidates will be provided an extended duration, with exam scheduled from 2 to 4:40 PM.

For UG candidates, CLAT 2027 will have 120 multiple-choice questions to be attempted in two hours. The paper will carry questions from English Language, Current Affairs including General Knowledge, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Techniques. Each correct answer will carry one mark and 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

CLAT 2027 Application Fee

Candidates belonging to General and OBC categories have to pay application fee of INR 4,000. The fee for candidates belonging to SC, ST, BPL and PwD categories is INR 3,500. The fee can be paid online and is non-refundable.

Candidates should complete CLAT 2027 application form before last date and verify all details before submitting it. The Consortium has stated that certain details, including programme and category, cannot be changed after final submission and payment.
