The Consortium of NLUs will publish the CLAT Exam Date 2027 along with the official notification. The CLAT 2027 is likely to be held on December 6, 2026. The application form for CLAT 2027 is expected to be released by August 1, 2026. The last date to fill CLAT Application Form 2027 will be mostly by the end of October. Candidates must note that the admit card for CLAT Exam will be published at 15 days before the exam.

The post-exam admission schedule, including announcement of results and counselling registration, is announced separately. Applicants can check important dates like answer key, objection window, result, counselling and other important dates below.

CLAT 2027 Application Dates

The Consortium of NLUs will start the CLAT 2027 registration by August 1, 2026, in online mode. Candidates can submit the CLAT Application Form on consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The CLAT Registration 2027 will begin for both 5-year LLB and one-year LLM courses together. Candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to complete their registration process.

How to Register for CLAT 2027?

Candidates will have to first register to fill out the CLAT Application Form. Candidates must check the eligibility criteria of CLAT Exam before beginning the process to avoid any rejection at a later stage. Follow the simple steps given below to register for the CLAT 2027 Exam

Q:   Can I fill CLAT Application Form offline?
A: 

No, there is no such provision given by the Consortium to fill out the application form offline. Candidates must complete filling the CLAT Application Form 2027 on or before the last date. You can only fill out the application form online. The form will be considered submitted only if you pay the fees.

Q:   What is the last date to fill CLAT Application Form 2027?
A: 

The Consortium has not announced the last date to submit the CLAT Application Form yet. However, once the application process starts it mostly remain opens for three months. This gives candidates sufficient time to complete it and submit. 

Q:   When CLAT Application Correction Window 2027 will open?
A: 

The Consortium will open the correction window once the registration process is over. Candidates must note that this is their last chance to edit their already submitted CLAT application form.

CLAT 2027 Admit Card Date

The Consortium of NLUs will release the CLAT admit card 2027 at least 15 days before the exam. The admit card of CLAT 2027 is a mandatory document to be carried on the exam day. Candidates must note that the admit card will have important details like the candidate's name, CLAT 2027 exam date, name of the exam centre, full address of the exam centre, exam timing, guidelines and more.

How to Download CLAT Admit Card 2027?

Students can download their admit cards through the CLAT candidate portal. It must be noted that the hall ticket for the CLAT Exam will not be sent through post. Students can download the admit card for CLAT 2027 through these steps

There is no option to make changes in the CLAT admit card. Details printed on the candidate's hall ticket will be final and non-editable. Incase, there is any error in the details mentioned on the CLAT admit card, like name or roll number of the candidate., etc. then that can be rectified by contacting the CLAT help desk.

Candidates are advised to take multiple printouts and check the details printed on the CLAT admit card carefully.

CLAT 2027 Exam Date

Candidates must note that the CLAT Exam Date 2027 will be same for both UG and PG courses. The exam will be held in 140 CLAT examination centres across the nation. As per the CLAT Exam Pattern 2027, candidates will be given two hours to attempt 120 multiple-choice questions.

CLAT 2027 Answer Key DATE

The Consortium of NLUs releases the CLAT Answer Key in two phases: First Provisional and Later Final Answer Key. The CLAT Provisional Answer Key 2027 is expected within 24 hours after the exam is over. After the CLAT Answer Key is out, the authorities will open an objection window. Candidates can raise their objections against the provisional answer key. Once the Consortium will cross check the objections raised by the students, the CLAT Final Answer Key 2027 will be published. The CLAT 2027 result will be announced based on the final answer key.

A: 

Yes, candidates will have to pay INR 1,000 as fee while raising the objection on the CLAT 2027 answer key. However, the fee paid on raising objection for the error in the CLAT answer key is refundable. The fee paid by the candidates while objecting for any concern on the provisional answer key will only be refunded if the objection is accepted. In the other scenario, no refund will be issued.

CLAT 2027 Result Date

The CLAT results 2027 will be published within a week after the exam, as per past trends. Candidates must note that the CLAT 2027 scorecard will carry the marks secured by candidates in the Common Law Entrance Exam. It will also carry the details the category and All India Rank of the candidates in the exam. Candidates who will have a valid score in the CLAT 2027 Results will be invited to participate in the counselling process.

CLAT 2027 Counselling Date

The registrations for CLAT counselling 2027 will start soon after the results have been announced. Candidates will be able to complete the CLAT 2027 Counselling Registration Online through their login. It must be noted that only candidates who have register for the CLAT 2027 Counselling Process will be able to participate. This fee will be adjusted later against the university fee. The Consortium conducts five rounds of CLAT 2027 Counselling. Only those candidates who choose the freeze option will be considered confirmed. The CLAT 2027 Merit List will be released for each round separately.

Yes there is negative marking in CLAT Exam. 0.25 marks will be deducted if the answer is wrong. For each correct answer one marks will be awarded.

The CLAT exam duration is two hours for both the Undergraduate and Postgraduate. It will have 120 multiple choice questions. For each correct answer one mark will be given and -0.25 will be deducted for incorrect ones.

In CLAT Exam there will be 120 questions. The exam paper will be in MCQ format. Candidates will get 120 minutes to complete the paper. Since there is a negative marking candidates must attempt carefully.

Q:   Should the CLAT admit card printout be coloured or black and white?
A: 

Candidates should try and take a coloured printout of the admit card. But it is not compulsory. They must make sure that they have two to three spare copies of the admit card for future use. However, in case a candidate does not have access to a coloured printer, she/he can take a black and white printout. In any case the photograph on CLAT Admit Card should be clear.
