Important notes for MAT exam

MAT 2022 exam will be conducted on March 13 in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. Candidates who have registered for the CBT mode MAT exam will be issued the admit card tomorrow (March 9). The exam will be conducted for 2.5 hours are designated test centres in several cities across India. COVID-19 guidelines will be followed at every examination centre and MAT aspirants are supposed to follow instructions failing which, they will be barred from the exam. With only a few days to go for the exam, candidates must note key points about MAT so that on the exam day candidates can focus on the exam and perform well.

Key points to Remember Regarding MAT CBT

  • Duration of the exam is 2.5 hours. There will be no sectional time limit. However, there will be no bio break.
  • Candidates can attempt the sections as per their strategy. However, it is recommended that they attempt Indian & Global Environment at the end, as scores of this section is not taken into consideration for MAT percentile calculation.
  • Candidates must keep in mind that MAT has negative marking. They must select the given options as answers very carefully.
  • At the exam centre, candidates are required to follow COVID-19 protocol of physical distancing, wearing of mask, regular hand sanitization, etc.
  • Documents to carry for MAT CBT exam include hard copy of the admit cards, duly filled self-declaration attached with the admit card and photo ID card.
  • Items to carry include hand sanitizer in transparent bottle, drinking water in a transparent bottle and face masks.
  • Candidates have to keep wearing the facemask from the time of entry in MAT test centre to exit.
  • Reporting time will be mentioned on the MAT admit card 2022. Candidates are supposed reach the test centre on time.
  • Candidates are required to take the test at their designated seat and not leave until asked by the invigilator.
  • Items such as mobile phone, digital/smart watch, bag, handbag, paper, notes, books, calculator, electronic gadgets or such equipment are not allowed inside the examination centre.
  • There will be no provision of bad deposit at the MAT test centres thus, candidates must not carry a bag or valuables or make their own arrangement.
