Some candidates, although prepared for the exam, must be wondering about various aspects of a PBT mode exam when the COVID-19 cases are low across the country. Here are some MAT exam related guidelines for PBT that candidates must be aware of and follow during the test.
MAT PBT Exam: Instructions for filling in the OMR answer sheet
The MAT PBT means paper based test wherein candidates have to mark their option in the OMR answer sheet. The answer sheets are scanned by machine to compute the scores. Thus, it is very important that candidates mark their answers carefully and properly. Here are a few key instructions to follow while taking the MAT 2022 PBT test:
- Every question in the MAT 2022 question paper will have four answer options. Candidates must mark their answer option number chosen by darkening the corresponding oval on the answer sheet using ballpoint pen (Blue/Black) only.
- Answer once marked cannot be erased. Thus, darken only one oval, which you are sure about.
- Improper darkening will be treated as wrong answer so candidates need to be mindful of it too. Remember, MAT has negative marking for wrong answer.
- The correct method of darkening the oval will be mentioned in "Important Instructions" on Side-1 of the Answer Sheet that will be given to each candidate along with the question paper inside the exam hall.
- Candidates must take care to not tear bend, mutilate or damage the OMR answer sheet in any way.
- After the test is over, the used question booklet and used OMR answer sheet has to be handed over to the invigilator.
- Candidates will not be allowed to leave the test room before the end of test and till the counting and tallying of question booklets and OMR sheets by the Room Invigilator.
