CAT 2020 registration cum application process is currently underway. Candidates who are interested in appearing for the national-level MBA entrance exam for admission to over 1200 B-Schools must fill the online application form before the deadline. The last date for CAT 2020 registration is September 16.
CAT exam is scheduled for November 29 at multiple exam centres in 156 cities across India. Despite COVID-19 pandemic, there is no change in mode of CAT exam. However, IIM Indore, the CAT 2020 convening body, has said that conduct of CAT 2020 will depend upon the pandemic situation and government guidelines at that time.
Any candidate who is a graduate or in the final year of bachelor’s degree programme can apply for the exam. CAT application fee is Rs 2,000 for General category candidates and Rs 1,000 for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

How to Register for CAT 2020 Exam?
CAT 2020 forms are to be filled in online mode only. This year, the candidates have been given the option to select upto six cities for preferred exam centre location. Given below is the step by step process to fill the CAT 2020 application form.
- Open the official CAT website in a new window (iimcat.ac.in)
- Click on CAT 2020 registration
- Enter name, date of birth, email ID, phone number and nationality
- Click to generate OTP
- On successful registration, an OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number
- Verify by entering the OTP in the given field
- After verification, login in again using the CAT ID
- Enter fields with required information
- Upload scanned photograph and signature
- Select MBA programmes and IIM institutes
- Select cities as preference for CAT exam centre
- Make fee payment via net banking or credit/debit card
