The Common Management Admission Test or CMAT is a national level exam conducted by All India Council for Technical Education. The three-hour computer based test is conducted in the month of January and its score is accepted by all AICTE-Approved Institutions/University Departments/Constituent Colleges/Affiliated Colleges.
CMAT 2018 application process began on October 20, 2017 and the last date was December 18, 2017. But the authorities have extended the application process for one week. CMAT aspirants can now apply till December 25, 2017 till 5 pm.
CMAT 2018 will be held on January 20, 2018.
Dates of release of admit card, results and scorecards have not been announced. These dates are expected to be announced after the registration process is over.

Application process:
To apply for CMAT 2018, the candidates will have to register on the official CMAT website as new user. On successful registration, a login ID will be shared on the registered email ID which can be used for all login purposes. Check CMAT 2018 syllabus
Registered candidates will be then required to login to fill the application form. While filling the application form, aspirants need to select date and three cities (test venues) for online examination in the order of preference. The date and test centres will be allotted on “first come first served” basis. Actual allotment, however, will be subject to availability of the slots in a particular city.
Test fees for General and OBC candidates is Rs 1400 + Bank charges, while for SC/ST/PD candidates it is Rs 700 + Bank charges.
Candidates can pay the application fee via Net Banking / Credit / Debit Card. They can also make cash payment through challan downloaded from the CMAT website and cash deposited in any branch of State Bank of India (SBI).
Points to keep in mind while applying:
- Fill all the fields with correct information
- Do not leave any field marked mandatory empty
- Check all the information entered before submitting. Once submitted the form cannot be edited
- Upload a recent passport sized photo of self and a copy of scanned signature
Slot booking:
The process of booking exam slot and centres is done while filing the application form. The exam is usually held on two days, but last year it was held on one day in single session. The second day was kept reserved in case of any unforeseen situation.
Aspirants must note that once selected, the exam centre or exam time/day cannot be changed. Thus they should make the selection carefully and in case they don’t get their desired exam centre or time/date, they must make appropriate arrangement to reach on the allotted exam centre on time.
