At a formal inaugural event held on campus, 414 students joined the 62nd batch of the Two-Year Full-Time Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP), and 46 students were inducted into the 26th batch of the Post Graduate Programme in Food and Agribusiness Management (PGP-FABM).

The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA), India, marked the beginning of a new academic journey for 460 students who were inducted into its two flagship programmes for the academic session 2025-2027.

At a formal inaugural event held on campus, 414 students joined the 62nd batch of the Two-Year Full-Time Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP), and 46 students were inducted into the 26th batch of the Post Graduate Programme in Food and Agribusiness Management (PGP-FABM).

The PGP Class of 2025-27 reflects IIMA’s ongoing commitment to diversity

 50% of students come from engineering backgrounds, while the other 50% have backgrounds in commerce, liberal arts, CA, CS, and more. 30.6% of the PGP cohort are women. 27% of the students are freshers, while 73% bring prior work experience (average: 25 months). The average student age of the batch is 23 years. The PGP-FABM 2025-27 batch also shows strong gender diversity with 45.65% female and 54.35% male students. All students come from agriculture and allied sectors. 60% freshers, 40% experienced professionals (average work experience: 20 months).

Inclusive Education: Support for Differently Abled Students

In a progressive move toward inclusive higher education, IIMA welcomed a significant number of differently abled students into the PGP batch. Through its Equal Opportunity Office (EOO), the Institute provides:

  • Apple iPads
  • Motorized wheelchairs
  • Assistive tech like high-resolution laptop cameras and specialized software
  • Customized academic support
  • Voices from the Institute: Encouraging a Holistic Journey

Each speaker encouraged the students to embrace the rigorous academic environment while participating fully in the Institute’s vibrant student life.

Q:   When will CAT 2023 take place for admission to IIM Ahmedabad?
A:

For admission to MBA (or PGP) 2024 batch at IIM Ahmedabad, the CAT test will be conducted on November 26, 2023. Aspirants of IIM Ahmedabad are required to appear for the exam in Computer Based Testing mode at the allotted test centres. CAT exam 2023 will be held in three slots:

  • Morning slot: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM
  • Afternoon slot: 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM
  • Evening slot: 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM

Earlier, the CAT exam used to be of 180 minutes with 100 questions but in 2020, both exam duration and number of questions were reduced due to COVID-19 pandemic. Now, starting CAT 2022, the total number of questions stands at 66 as part of CAT pattern.
