IIM, IIT, AIIMS to open in J&K soon, part of Rs 80000 crore package allotted by Union Government

In Jammu and Kashmir, new IIM, IIT, and AIIMS are slated to open soon. Under Prime Minister Development Package plan, Rs 80000 crore has been allocated by the union government for the development of the state. Apart from the development of power generation, irrigation projects, and highways, a part of the money will be invested in building educational institutes. This was informed by Sanjay Dhotre, Union Minister of State for HRD, Communications, and Electronics & Information Technology.

He was speaking at the Central government special public outreach programme held at Kalakote. He was talking about the execution of the policies of the special public outreach programme for the complete development of Jammu and Kashmir and its people. By removing the hurdles in the state along with executing the effective implementation of various schemes that target the individual beneficiaries, The Prime Minister Development Package (PMDP) will help restart the long-pending projects.

The main objective of his visit was to talk on multiple developmental schemes of the Government with the general public of the state. Since the abrogation of Article 370 and separation of Jammu from Kashmir, Jammu & Kashmir has become the centre of attraction. The Central Government wants to accelerate the development work like never seen before. To that end, it has been taking several steps towards the betterment of the education sector to ensure the development of both Jammu and Kashmir.
