From ₹75 lakh domestic offers to averages near ₹35 lakh, how IIM Bangalore, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Calcutta and Indore shaped their 2025 placements
With CAT 2025 exam few weeks away, placements at the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) have once again drawn attention from MBA aspirants across the country. The official placement reports released some of the IIMs show that while consulting and finance continue to dominate, domestic salary packages have reached new highs in some cases.
IIM Bangalore Placements 2025
As per IIM Bangalore placement office, the average annual package touched around ₹35 lakh. Among sectors, Consulting remained the top recruiter, with major global firms picking up large numbers of students.
IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Calcutta Placements 2025
The two IIMs among the top three in the NIRF 2025 Rankings, IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Calcutta have also reported strong placement seasons, with average salaries above ₹32 lakh. Among sectors that recruited from these institutions, consulting, banking and investment jobs continue to dominate, with increasing interest from technology companies.
IIM Lucknow Placements 2025
In 2025 placement cycle, Indian Institute of Management Lucknow saw one of the highest domestic offers, which was ₹75 lakh per annum. As per the information shared by the institute, the average package was around ₹30 lakh, with hiring in sectors such as consulting, finance and product management.
IIM Indore Placements 2025
Another older IIM known for its high quality MBA graduates, IIM Indore reported an average package close to ₹25 lakh, which also depicted similar trend reflecting steady demand across consulting, FMCG, IT and e-commerce sectors.
