Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has urged the candidates who have registered for the Karnataka PGCET 2020 exam but have tested positive for COVID-19 and unable to appear for the test.

Prior to the Karnataka PGCET 2020 exam date, the Karnataka Examination Authority has started the online registration process for the candidates who have tested positive for COVID-19. The Karnataka PGCET 2020 exams are scheduled on October 13 and October 14 for ME/MTech/MArch and MBA/MCA respectively. Although no other information has been mentioned, it is estimated that KEA will conduct a retest for these candidates.

  • Visit the official website

  • Click on the link indicating online registration for COVID-19 positive candidates

  • Enter the Application User ID and Password (same as Karnataka PGCET 2020 registration)

  • Enter Captcha text

  • Click on Submit

Once registered, they will receive a confirmation email or SMS from KEA which will inform them about the next processes.

Karnataka PGCET 2020 exam will be held in 14 cities across Karnataka in paper-pencil based mode. The scores of the exam are accepted by 178 colleges in the state for multiple programmes. The hall ticket was released on October 7 and candidates can download it by entering their Application Number and Date of Birth in DD/MM/YY format.

According to the Karnataka PGCET 2020 exam pattern, the duration of the test is 120 minutes or two hours. There are 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) from four sections – Proficiency in English Language, General Knowledge, Test of Reasoning and General Intelligence and Quantitative Analysis. Each section carries 25 questions. One mark is awarded for each correct answer and there is no negative marking scheme for wrong answers.
