Karnataka PGCET 2026 Exam Dates (Announced): Check Registration, Admit Card & Results

Karnataka PGCET exam dates and event schedule is released by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA).  KEA conducts the Karnataka PGCET exam for admission to MBA/MCA, and MTech courses offered by colleges in Karnataka. Besides these courses, candidates aspiring for MArch courses are also required to fill the PGCET form to be considered for the centralised counselling process. Karnataka MArch admissions are based on CoA's PGETA. 

KEA releases the schedule for Karnataka PGCET exam, including the application schedule, admit card dates, exam dates, answer key release schedule, and result declaration dates. Besides these events, KEA also conducts the centralised counselling process for MBA admission and the schedule for the same is released seperately.

KEA conducts Karnataka PGCET with the following chronology of events that are important to note:

• Karnataka PGCET registration
• Karnataka PGCET application form correction
• Issuance of Karnataka PGCET hall ticket
• Conduct of Karnataka PGCET exam

Besides the above mentioned events, KEA may include some additional exam related events in between occuring due to unforeseen reasons.

Karnataka PGCET registration starts around 30 to 45 days before the scheduled exam date. Candidates are informed about the last date for PGCET registration along with the publication of information bulletin.

Candidates need to keep the following details/ things handy before they proceed to fill Karnataka PGCET application form for a hassle-free registration process

• Class 12 mark sheet

• Scanned copy of passport-sized photograph

• Scanned copy of signature

• The online application form for Karnataka PGCET is best viewed in Internet Explorer 9 or above and the latest versions of Google Chrome & Mozilla Firefox.

Usually the Karnataka PGCET admit card is released 10 days before the exam, as per the past year trends. However, in the current session, candidates have been issued the Karnataka PGCET hall ticket around 6 days before the exam. Candidates aree allowed to download the Karnataka PGCET admit card until the exam date.  

To download the Karntaka PGCET admit card candidates have to use Karnataka PGCET registration number and password. Candidates were able to check details like their name, Karnatka PGCET roll number, father’s name, photograph, signature, exam date and time, exam venue with complete address, and the Karnataka PGCET exam day instructions.

KEA will conduct Karnataka PGCET 2026 exam for MBA and MCA courses on May 14. PGCET exam for ME/MTech courses is to be held on May 23.

KEA has only one shift each for different courses for admission via Karnataka PGCET scores. PGCET MBA exam will have one shift. KEA will also conduct single shift for MCA exam.

Karnataka PGCET provisional answer key is published on the official website. Candidates must navigate to PGCET admissions tab to get the PGCET answer key link.

The final Karnataka PGCET answer key will be published along with the results. Based on the answers in he final key the scores will be calculated for final result. No objections are entertained against the final key. Candidates will have to visit the official website to access the Karnataka PGCET final answer key PDF.

Candidates do not require any login credentials to check the Karnataka PGCET answer key PDF.

The candidates / parents / lecturers, are allowed to file their objections, if any, within three days in respect of any of the published answer key. Candidates are also required to submit all the supporting documents & justification for the objection filed. Objections filed by the candidates without justification shall not be considered. Objections received after the last date fixed shall not be considered. Objections received by the KEA will be placed before an Expert Committee, whose decision will be final in this regard.

KEA conducts the Karnataka PGCET exam every year for admission to MBA and MCA courses. Besides the MBA, MCA admissions, Karnataka PGCET exam also aids the MTech admission for candidates who do not have a valid GATE score. There is no fixed timeline for Karnataka PGCET exam. The exam dates for MBA and MCA exam remains the same. Whereas, the PGCET exam date for ME/MTech courses is different. Karnataka PGCET 2025 exam is generally conducted in the month of June for MBA and MCA courses.

Karnataka PGCET counselling is conducted every year for admission to MBA, MCA, M.Tech and MArch courses. Candidates who pass the Karnataka PGCET exam are eligible to participate in the documenty verification process. KEA starts Karnataka PGCET counselling 30 to 40 days after the result date. KEA declares Karnataka PGCET results within a month of the exam date. However, there can be delays in the release of the results due to unforeseen reasons.

Karnataka PGCET exam is conducted once every year. The exam score is valid for one exam session only. Karnataka PGCET is an offline exam with as many as 100 MCQs to be answered within 150 minutes.  Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test is administered annually by Karnataka Examination Authority. Karnataka PGCET acts as the gateway exam for admission into PG courses, including MBA, MCA, M.E., M.Tech. and M.Arch in the state of Karnataka. 

Karnataka PGCET application form submission is typically facilitated for a period of 20+ days. However, KEA may extend the deadline based on different internal and external factors.

Karnataka Examinations Authority conducts the PGCET exam every year across multiple cities in the state. While filling the application form, candidates have to choose the test centre preference. KEA will try allocatring a test centre in the prefered exam city. KEA mighty allocate multiple exam centres in one city. In the past exam session candidates had to choose a test city preference among 29 test cities.

KEA conducts Karnataka PGCET exam for admission to MBA, MCA, ME, MTech, and MArch courses. Candidates aspiring for MArch are only required to fill the PGCET form to participate in the centralised counselling process.
