Candidates were unexpectedly asked about binary-coded decimal (BCD) codes in the computer section. One specific memory-based question required identifying the 8-4-2-1 positional weighting sequence for these BCD codes.

The Computer Awareness section featured several out-of-syllabus and unexpectedly high-level questions. Core topics included specific electronic logic gates like the AND, NOR, and NOT gates.

Several test-takers reported that at least one Quantitative Analysis question might be factually incorrect. Experts are verifying this, and KEA may officially award grace marks if proven.

Logical Reasoning provided some much-needed relief to stressed students. Experts analyse that the 8 to 9 Logical Reasoning questions were standard and completely doable for prepared candidates.

The heavy focus on statistics left candidates frustrated due to lack of preparation. Many test-takers are actively demanding a standardised, predictable syllabus from the KEA for future exams.

Karnataka PGCET 2026 exam has been started and the fourth bell rings at 11:30 PM. Fourth bell is the caution bell and will indicate that 1 hour is completed.

Candidates marking more than one bubble for a single question will not get any marks awarded. One must ensure that single choices are definitive; whiteboards or erasing attempts cancel the question.

To minimize errors, shade your OMR sheet in structural blocks rather than per item. Check the question number twice before applying the ballpoint pen to the bubble.

Karnataka PGCET comprises 100 objective multiple-choice questions for 100 marks. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers. Attempt every question systematically.

Invigilators will detach the top office copy of the OMR sheet. Candidates are allowed to take the bottom replica copy along with the question booklet. Preserve it for one year.

The seventh bell marks the end of the test. You must stop writing immediately. The invigilator will collect the OMR sheets before anyone is allowed to step out.

The sixth bell serves as the final warning bell. Invigilators will announce that only five minutes remain. Complete any remaining bubbling on your sheet immediately.

The fifth bell is a caution signal indicating that only 30 minutes remain. Candidates must shift their focus from solving complex problems to ensuring their OMR sheet is up to date.

The fourth bell marks the first caution signal exactly 60 minutes into the test. Use this alert to evaluate your progress and gauge your pacing for the remaining sections.

No candidate is permitted to enter the exam hall after the third bell rings. Furthermore, leaving the room early before the completion of the session is not allowed.

Individual question papers are distributed at 10:25 AM / 2:25 PM. Candidates must record the Question Booklet Serial Number, shade the matching Version Code, and sign the OMR sheet.

At the second bell (10:15 AM / 2:15 PM), sealed question booklets arrive. Two candidates will be requested to certify that the packaging seal is fully intact before it is officially opened.

Exceptions to the jewellery ban include the Mangala Sutra and customary items like the Janiwara or Shivalinga. Other metal objects and jewellery are prohibited.

Candidates wearing traditional or religious garments must report to the centre two hours early (by 8:30 AM or 12:30 PM). This ensures sufficient time for a private, respectful screening process.

All wristwatches, including traditional analogue clocks and modern smartwatches, are entirely banned. Bell timings and wall clocks will be provided inside the exam hall to keep track of time.

Shoes are completely prohibited inside the Karnataka PGCET test hall. Candidates are advised to wear flat slippers or low-heeled sandals to avoid delays during inspection.

Candidates must not wear long-sleeved clothing to the examination centre. Half-sleeved attire is standard and highly recommended to pass the mandatory physical security screening smoothly.

Wallets, goggles, handbags, belts, and caps are forbidden inside the examination hall. There are no official arrangements at the test centres to store these personal belongings safely.

Upon receiving the OMR answer sheet at the first bell, candidates must write their names and shade the PGCET number and match it against the number printed on the hall ticket.

The first bell rings at 10:00 AM for the morning session and 2:00 PM for the afternoon session. Candidates are permitted to enter the room and occupy assigned desks immediately after this bell.

The OMR sheet must be filled using a blue or black ink ballpoint pen only. Pencils, erasers, gel pens, ink pens, or correction fluids are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.

Candidates must produce their physical admit card and a valid photo ID proof to enter the hall. Invigilators will cross-verify your identity and photograph against the nominal roll before seating.

Candidates have 120 minutes to answer all 100 questions, averaging just over a minute per question. Candidates must answer the questions within the stipulated time to avoid last minute rush.

KEA will conduct Karnataka PGCET MBA exam from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Candidates must report on time to be able to start their test at 10:30 AM. No candidate will be allowed inside the exam hall if the test starts.

KEA will commence the PGCET MBA exam at 10:30 AM. Candidates are required to be seated inside the exam hall by 10 AM. There will be security checks and frisking before the entry to the exam hall, therefore, candidates must aim to enter the test centre premises by 9 AM for the MBA exam.
