MAT CBT exam for March 2022 phase is scheduled for tomorrow. Candidates must keep the following dos and don'ts in mind.

MAT 2022 exam in CBT mode will be held tomorrow at various exam centres in 25 cities across India. Candidates must have completed the preparation and last day revision of important topics. Now, is the time to prepare for the exam day. It is important to arrange documents, etc. a day before to avoid hassle on the exam day. Candidates who have registered for the test must download their admit cards from the exam website and take two printouts. A COVID-19 self-declaration will be attached to the MAT 2022 admit card. Candidates must fill and attest the self-declaration the night before.

There are other important points candidates must remember for a smooth day tomorrow. Read below key dos and don’ts for MAT CBT exam.

Reach the examination centre as per the reporting time mentioned on the MAT admit card

Do not reach the exam centre late. Gates of the examination centre will be closed 15 minutes before commencement of the test

Carry two printouts of admit card with duly filled self-declaration, a photo ID, hand sanitizer, facemask and blue/black ball point pen

Do not carry electronic or metal items to the examination centre. Do not carry bags or valuables as well because there will be no provision to deposit your belongings at the exam centre.

Keep wearing mask throughout the duration you are inside the examination centre

Do not take off your facemask when inside the exam centre venue. You can remove it only during identification.

Maintain physical distance from everyone throughout

Do not breach any COVID-19 protocol. You can be prohibited from writing the exam.

Co-operate with the exam centre staff during temperature check, identification process, etc.

If you are having COVID-19 or COVID-19 like symptoms, don’t go to the test centre. Attempt the exam when fully fit.

Sit at the computer system assigned to you and do not start the test unless asked by the  invigilator

Do not indulge in any malpractice in the examination hall.

Mark your answers carefully as MAT has negative marking

Do not get hassled during the MAT exam. Answer only those questions you are confident of to avoid negative marking.

The exam is of 2.5 hours, so divided the time for each section as per your strengths and weaknesses

The scores of Indian and Global Environment section are not considered for MAT percentile calculation, so don’t spend too much time on it. Pick it at the last.

Leave the computer system only when asked to by the invigilator

Do not try to exit the examination hall unless asked to or it’s your turn

Submit the paper sheet used for rough work with the invigilator

Do not carry any piece of paper outside the exam hall.

If you are not satisfied with your MAT performance, you can make another attempt in March itself as the MAT IBT registrations are ongoing and the last date to apply is 19. Therefore, if you think you can do better if given one more chance register for IBT and take the test from home. The MAT IBT dates are March 19, 20 and 22. Next phase of MAT exams will be held in May.
