XAT 2025 exam pattern

XAT 2025 is scheduled on January 5 and it is now time to complete the preparation and get ready for the exam day. This year, major changes have been made in the XAT exam pattern. Aspirants appearing for the exam should be aware of the key changes in XAT 2025 so that they can optimize their performance.

XAT 2025 exam will be held in a single shift from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Admit card has already been issued to registered candidates. They must check the top guidelines to know what to do and what not to do on the exam day.

Major Changes in XAT Exam Pattern 2025

• Exam duration has been reduced from 210 minutes to 180 minutes
• Essay writing section has been removed from the test.
• Essay Writing will be a part of XLRI PI shortlisting
• Number of questions in GK section has been reduced from 25 to 20
• The XAT 2025 question paper will be divided into two parts only
• Part 1 will consist of VALR, Decision Making and Quantitative Aptitude
• Part 2 will consist of only GK.
• GK score will be taken into consideration at the time of PI shortlisting
• There will be a total of 95 questions in the exam.

XAT Marking Scheme

There is no change in the marking scheme of XAT. Check below, how candidates will be marked in XAT 2025.

• +1 mark for correct answer
• -0.25 marks for incorrect answer
• -0.10 marks for more than 8 consecutive un-attempted questions
• No negative marking in GK section
