MCC Adds PwD Centers for NEET Counselling 2025; Check New Designated Disability Centers
MCC new disability centres have been established in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Haryana for PwBD candidates seeking admission through NEET UG Counselling 2025. The PwD portal for NEET UG counselling 2025 round 2 is open till tomorrow.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has added new PwD centres for NEET UG counselling 2025. The addition of new Designated Disability Centres for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) for NEET UG Counselling 2025 aims to offer convenience to the candidates seeking to get disability certification for MBBS admissions under the PwBD category for the academic year 2025-26.
"This is for the information to all participating candidates of UG Counselling 2025 that, for the convenience of PwBD candidates, Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has onboarded Medical Colleges as Designated Disability Centres to issue Disability Certificates w.r.t the Interim Guidelines issued by NMC on the Assessment method for granting admission in MBBS course under the PwBD category for AY 2025-26." The official notification reads.

The PwD portal for NEET UG Counselling 2025 round 2 is underway until 12:00 noon on September 09, 2025. Candidates are required to visit these centres with their valid UDID card to undergo assessment and obtain the disability certificate as per the eligibility criteria.

The NEET counselling process is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) primarily in online mode. All the steps of the counselling process, including the registration, release of seat matrix, choice filling and locking, and release of the seat allotment result. Only the last and final round, which is the institute reporting, has to be done in offline mode. Herein candidates who have been allotted seats have to visit the institutes for document verification and complete the admission process by paying the requisite fee amount.
No, candidates need not report or join the allotted college of NEET counselling Round 1 since there is free exit. However if they want to retain the Round 1 seat and upgrade in Round 2 they have to physically join the college of Round 1 and give up-gradation willingness for Round 2 at the time of admission. In case candidates decide to resign the seat allotted to them in the first round, then they can do so prior to registering in the next round of NEET counselling.
