NEET 2026 Dress Code: National Testing Agency releases NEET UG dress code for candidates appearing for medical entrance exam. They are advised to wear simple, comfortable clothing and avoid carrying prohibited items to prevent delays in entry at exam centre.

NTA follows strict dress code to facilitate hassle free frisking and to prevent use of unfair means during NEET UG 2026. Candidates who fail to follow guidelines may have to undergo additional security checks or may not be allowed to enter NEET examn hall.

Male candidates are advised to wear simple and light clothing. Check what is allowed

  • Half-sleeve shirts or T-shirts

  • Plain trousers or pants

  • Light-coloured and simple clothes

  • Slippers or sandals with thin or low heels

  • Heavy or layered clothing

  • Jackets, coats, blazers or hoodies

  • Clothes with large buttons, heavy embroidery, multiple pockets or metallic accessories

  • Kurta pyjama or outfits with unnecessary layers

  • Shoes, boots or high ankle footwear

  • Belts, watches, caps and sunglasses

NEET 2026 Dress Code for Female Candidates

Female candidates should choose comfortable clothing that allows easy security screening. They can wear

  • Jewellery such as earrings, necklaces, bangles and bracelets

  • Hair accessories made of metal

  • Religious or Customary Dress

Candidates wearing religious or customary attire like turban, hijab or burqa are permitted to appear for examination. They must report to centre before reporting timeto complete additional frisking and security verification.

  • Photo identity proof

  • Passport-size photograph

  • Transparent water bottle, if permitted

  • Medical documents for candidates seeking special accommodation

  • Mobile phones

  • Smartwatches or digital watches

  • Bluetooth devices or earphones

  • Calculators

  • Wallets and handbags

  • Books, notes or loose papers

  • Electronic gadgets

  • Metallic ornaments and accessories

  • Any food items unless medically permitted
