National Testing Agency has cancelled the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2026 conducted on May 3, 2026. Based on the NEET UG question paper lead allegations, NTA has announced the re-conduct of NEET UG 2026. The agency has taken this decision in the interest of students and in recognition of the trust on which the NEET exam system rests.
NTA will announce the date regarding the re-NEET 2026 on the website neet.nta.nic.in. Additionally, no fresh registration or application fee is required. Moreover, the application fee already paid will be refunded to registered students.
NTA NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Date
NTA, with the approval of the government of India, has decided to re-conduct the NEET (UG) 2026 exam conducted on May 3, 2026. The new date for the Re-NEET 2026 will be announced online. Students must check the NTA NEET UG 2026 website for the latest schedule.
NTA NEET UG 2026 Admit Card
The authority will re-issue NEET admit card to the registered students. The exam date & time, reporting time, date closing time, exam centre venue and address, and exam day guidelines will be mentioned in the NEET UG admit card.

NEET 2026 Exam Cancelled: Reason for the NEET UG 2026 cancellation
On May 7, NTA received an input regarding the malpractice activity in the NEET 2026 exam. Rajasthan Police Special Operation Group Director General Vishal Bansal claimed that 410 questions from a guess book matched the actual NEET 2026 question paper. These questions were from the Biology and Chemistry sections. Based on these allegations and to maintain transparency, NTA has cancelled the NEET UG 2026 exam conducted on May 3, 2026. There will be Re-NEET UG 2026; the dates are yet to be announced.
