Government may use IAF to transport Re NEET 2026 Question Papers
The Government of India is considering to use armed forces to ensure safe and secure conduct of the NEET UG 2026 re exam. As per the sources, the Government may turn to Indian Air Force (IAF) to manage logistics and transportation of NEET 2026 re exam question papers. This decision comes amid the alleged NEET paper leak issue that led to the cancellation of May 3 exam.
Reportedly, a high-level meeting was held at the residence of Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to review the entire exam conduct process, such as question paper printing, transportation and delivery. The meeting was attended by other Union Ministers, namely, Dharmendra Pradhan and Jyotiraditya Scindia.
As per the officials, the deployment of the IAF has been proposed to securely transport the Re NEET question papers 2026 from printing press to exam centres across India. The final decision or announcement is awaited by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

NEET 2026 Paper Leak Case
The NEET UG 2026 exam was originally conducted on May 3. Over 22 lakh candidates took the exam. However, the exam was cancelled on May 12, 2026, by the NTA due to the NEET paper leak allegations. The case is being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

There will be no sectional qualifying criterion for NEET 2025. NTA releases overall qualifying marks or cutoff marks for each category. The overall marks will be considered while preparing the rank list for NEET. But to ensure a good score, candidates must ensure a high number of attempts with full accuracy. A skewed performance might hamper the overall marks obtained in NEET.
No, marks are not deducted for unanswered questions in NEET. However, the NTA applies negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect answer in the NEET UG examination.
The NEET exam is conducted offline in pen and paper mode. The NEET exam pattern is as such-
- There are 180 MCQs.
- 45 are from Physics, 45 from Chemistry and 90 from Biology (Botany and Zoology).
- Each question is of 4 marks.
- The total marks are 720.
- The exam duration is 3 hours.
The Re NEET 2026 is scheduled to be held on June 21. The exam will be held from 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm. The exam preparedness is being reviewed by the PMO and Education Ministry from time to time to ensure smooth conduct of the exam without any error.
