NEET UG 2026: NTA Extends Exam Duration to 195 Minutes, Adds More Rough Sheets in paper booklet

NEET Re-exam 2026: National Testing Agency has announced student friendly changes for Re-NEET UG 2026 exam to be held on June 21. Based on feedback from previous years, NTA has revised NEET exam duration to 195 minutes. The exam will still begin at 2 pm, but instead of ending at 5 pm, it will continue for an extra 15 minutes, until 5:15 pm.ย
NTA has also increased space available for rough work in Re-NEET question paper booklet. Now, candidates can carry out calculations and take down important notes. They will now get four rough-work pages instead of two.ย

Re-NEET 2026 Exam Duration Increased to 195 Minutes
One major change introduced by NTA is extension of timings. NEET UG 2026 will now be held from 2 to 5:15 PM, giving candidates a total of 195 minutes. Aditional time like signing attendance sheets and completing invigilation procedures.
To help students perform calculations and draw diagrams more comfortably, NTA has increased number of rough-work pages in NEET question paper booklet. Candidates will now receive four rough-work pages instead of the earlier two pages. These additional space is expected to benefit students.ย
NEET 2026 Question Paper Layout Revised
Another important change concerns placement of rough-work pages inside Re-Exam NEET question booklet. Previously, all rough-work pages were provided only at end of booklet. Based on candidate feedback, particularly from left-handed students, NTA has redesigned the booklet layout.ย
Under this new arrangement, two rough-work pages will be placed immediately after instruction page. Remaining two pages will continue to be available at end of booklet. This revised format has been introduced in both English and regional language versions of question paper.
NTA has advised all candidates to carefully read instructions mentioned in their admit cards and Information Bulletin. They are also requested to cooperate with examination staff and follow all guidelines to ensure smooth conduct of Re-NEET UG on June 21, 2026.
