Will NEET 2024 Counselling Round 2 Result Be Declared Today?

The NEET 2024 counselling Round 2 result is scheduled to be declared today, September 13, 2024. But since the choice filling process has been extended, there is a chance that the seat allotment result declaration may get postponed.

On September 11, 2024, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) released a notification which stated that the choice filling process has been extended on account of addition of seats in the NEET 2024 counselling Round 2 seat matrix. But no last date of choice filling has been mentioned.

On the other hand, MCC has also not stated about the date of declaration of the NEET 2024 counselling Round 2 seat allotment result. This has made candidates even more apprehensive about the date of the seat allotment result declaration.

In general, MCC releases the provisional seat allotment result first, against which candidates can submit grievances within the stipulated schedule. After that, the final seat allotment list is declared. It is estimated that the provisional seat allotment result of NEET 2024 counselling Round 2 will be declared today, September 13, 2024, followed by the final result tomorrow, September 14, 2024.

Addition of Seats in NEET 2024 Counselling Round 2

As per the MCC notice, a total of 600 new MBBS/BDS seats have been allotted to medical/dental colleges in Telangana while 7 seats each have been allotted to colleges in Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra. The new medical seats have been provided for several quotas including AIQ, NRI and deemed seats.

On the other hand, later addition of eight new seats in institutes across Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Rajasthan was announced, which led to the extension of the choice filling process.
