After the Russia-Ukraine war has started today, the Indian students in Ukraine are standing outside the Indian Embassy in Kyiv, Ukraine reportedly in minus two degrees temperature and asking for help to evacuate.

Russia-Ukraine War: Indian students urge Indian govt to evacuate

The Indian students in Ukraine have gathered outside the Indian Embassy in Kyiv, Ukraine in minus two degrees temperature and are requesting officials to help them but reportedly they are not getting much of the help as the officials are saying that there is no time to discuss their issues but they are working to find some solutions. 

Today morning, Russian President Vladimir Putin has launched a military operation in Ukraine. With the start of this war between Russia and Ukraine, the Indians stuck in Ukraine including students are in panic and so are their respective families here in India. Now, Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit S Channi has urged Prime Minister Modi to intervene and ensure the safe return of Punjabis.

His tweet reads, "Deeply concerned over the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war. I urge Hon’ble PM @narendramodi Ji to intervene for the rescue and safe return of Indians in general and Punjabis in particular, stuck in war-hit Ukraine."

After following the earlier advisories of the Embassy of India in Ukraine, many students have come back to India but now the efforts are being made for the safe rescue of the rest of the Indians in Ukraine.

Indian Embassy is working to ensure safety of Indians in Ukraine

As per the latest advisory by the Embassy of India in Ukraine, alternative arrangements are being made for the evacuation of Indian nationals in Ukraine after the Ukrainian airspace has been closed and the schedule for special flights stand cancelled.

Indian Embassy has assured Indian nationals that it will convey information as soon as such arrangements are finalized so that the Indian nationals can relocate to the western part of the country.

The Indian nationals in Ukraine are advised to carry the passports and necessary documents at all times and follow Embassy website and social media (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) posts for updates on this regard.
