Congress, Sisodia Slam SSC Exam Mismanagement; Chandrashekhar Azad Ravan Writes to PM, SSC Commission

Congress, Sisodia slam SSC Phase-13 exam chaos; Ravan writes to PM and SSC demanding probe. Students protest exam mismanagement, videos go viral.
The controversy over the SSC Selection Post Phase-13 examination 2025 has intensified with strong political intervention. Congress, former Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia, and Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar Azad Ravan have all raised concerns over the alleged mismanagement in the conduct of the exam. Ravan has gone a step further, writing to both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), demanding a high-level probe and immediate reforms.
“Government must take responsibility”: Manish Sisodia
In a sharply worded post on X (formerly Twitter), Manish Sisodia, currently out on bail, called out the government for playing with the future of students: “SSC Selection Post Phase-13 exam cancelled at several centres. Students kept waiting for hours. What kind of system is this? Modi government has no plan, no accountability. Youth are suffering due to their incompetence.
Sisodia’s post highlighted the plight of candidates who travelled long distances only to find their exam cancelled due to technical or administrative failures. He also shared a video of students protesting and police using force to disperse them.
Congress targets Modi govt, demands reform
The Indian National Congress also issued a statement on X, expressing solidarity with the protesting candidates and targeting the central government for its repeated failures in conducting recruitment exams: “In the name of Digital India, the Modi government is digitally ruining the youth. SSC aspirants were lathi-charged, exams were cancelled, but not a word from the government. When will this stop?”
The party has demanded the immediate formation of a high-level committee to look into repeated exam disruptions and a public response from the SSC.
Chandrashekhar Azad Ravan sends letter to PM and SSC
Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar Azad Ravan also took to social media, stating that he has written to both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the SSC, urging them to intervene and restore the faith of aspirants in the system.
“Youth are the strength of the country. You cannot play with their future like this. I have written to the Prime Minister and the SSC, asking for justice and immediate corrective measures.”
Ravan also called for fairness in vendor selection and compensation for affected candidates. His post attached a copy of his formal letter to the Prime Minister, citing repeated technical glitches, centre mismanagement, and “psychological trauma” faced by aspirants.
“Massive failure of governance”: Videos go viral
Several verified accounts and citizen journalists have posted videos showing students protesting in Delhi’s CGO Complex and Jantar Mantar. A video shared by journalist Shubhankar Mishra showed aspirants being lathi-charged by Delhi Police:
These visuals have intensified online anger, with hashtags like #SSCMisManagement, #JusticeForSSCStudents, and #DelhiChalo trending for the past 48 hours.
What caused the controversy?
The SSC Selection Post Phase-13 exam, held between July 24 and August 1, faced widespread cancellations due to technical glitches and poor centre coordination. Exams at multiple centres, including Pawan Ganga Education Centre in Delhi and Educasa International in Karnataka, were either cancelled or interrupted. Students received no prior notice and were forced to return after hours of waiting.
SSC later announced a rescheduling of the cancelled exams but did not address the broader questions of accountability, vendor management, or candidate redressal.
The SSC exam fiasco is no longer a student-only issue—it has now taken centre stage in national politics. With voices from both opposition leaders and student communities getting louder, the SSC is under unprecedented pressure to fix its examination ecosystem. Whether the Commission and the government will respond meaningfully remains to be seen.
