Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE), Pune will be conducting MAHA TET 2025 on November 23 who wish to become government school teachers in Maharashtra. MAHA TET 2025 will be held in two shifts for paper 1 and 2. As per schedule, MAHA TET paper 1 (Classes 1 to 5) will be held from 10:30 AM to 1 PM. Whereas, paper 2 (Classes 6 to 8) will be conducted from 2:30 PM to 5 PM. The exam will be held in offline pen and paper mode. There will be 150 multiple‐choice questions (MCQs) in MAHA TET paper 1 and 2. Candidates need to complete MAHA TET 2025 paper within 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Preparation Tips for MAHA TET 2025
Since Maharashtra TET is scheduled for November 23, 2025, candidates still have some time to make a focused preparation plan. They can MAHA TET preparation tips below:
- Understand MAHA TET Syllabus: Go through syllabus and make a list of topic under each section: Child Development & Pedagogy, Languages, Mathematics, Environmental Studies (for Paper I) / Mat & Science or Social Studies (for Paper II). Know the number of questions from each section. Also, check MAHA TET exam pattern and marking scheme.
- Create Maharashtra TET Study Plan: Divide schedule into phases, like first 4 to 6 weeks for syllabus, next 2 to 3 weeks for revision and last 1 to 2 weeks for practicing mock tests.
- Prioritise weak areas: If candidates are weak in any section, they must give extra time to those. Keep rest breaks, maintain health and mental well‐being.
- Focus on Conceptual Understanding + Pedagogy: Understand theories, developmental milestones, learning & pedagogy methods relevant to Indian classroom context. For subject‐knowledge (Maths, Science, Social Studies), focus on clarity of basic concepts. For Environmental Studies (Paper I), cover social, science and environmental topics at primary level. Whereas, for languages, practice grammar, comprehension, essay/letter writing (as applicable), vocabulary.
- Time Management: Since MAHA TET is in MCQ format and candidates have 150 questions to finish in 150 minutes, pace is about 1 minute per question.
- Solve previous years’ question papers (if available) or sample sets; this will familiarise you with question style and timing. After each test, analyse performance and work on weaker sections.
- Revision: In final 2 to 3 weeks, move to revision: go through notes, important formulae, pedagogical frameworks and key facts. Regular short revision of languages (grammar, vocabulary) should be done.

- Reach the exam centre before reporting time to avoid last-minute stress.
- Carry MAHA TET admit card, ID proof, writing.
- Since no negative marking, attempt all questions.
