Education Minister of Rajasthan said that REET will be conducted every year like UPSC IAS. The government is preparing for this so that not a single post remains vacant and maximum youth of Rajasthan can get employment. REET is conducted in two levels to assess the eligibility of teachers for the state schools.

Education Minister of Rajasthan, BD Kalla while addressing a gathering of unemployed youth association recently said that Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teacher (REET) will be conducted every year like UPSC IAS examination. “The REET exam should be conducted every year like UPSC and now the government is also preparing for this so that not a single post remains vacant and maximum youth of Rajasthan can get employment. The government has started preparations to implement it,” the Minister said.

Why is REET Conducted?

REET is a teacher eligibility test which is conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan for assessing the eligibility of the candidates for Primary and Upper Primary level Teachers. The exam is conducted in two levels. Level 1 for Primary Teachers who want to teach Classes 1 to 5 and Level 2 is for Upper Primary Teachers who wish to teach Classes 6 to 8. After qualifying REET Exam, the candidates can appear for separate Rajasthan Teacher recruitments.
