SSC CPO 2020 notification released; Apply online till July 16
SSC CPO 2020 notification has been released by SSC on June 17 for 3,237 vacancies. Candidates can apply for the exam till July 16.
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released SSC CPO 2020 notification on June 17 to invite candidates for the post of Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Force (CAPF). Total 3,237 vacancies have been announced, higher than the last year. Interested candidates can fill the application form till July 16. Online fee payment will be accepted till July 18. The application fee can be paid offline till July 22. The challan should be generated on or before July 20.
SSC CPO application form fee is Rs 100, however, SC, ST, women and ESM candidates are exempted from fee payment. SSC CPO exam dates 2020 have been revised once again. The Paper 1 exam of SSC CPO 2020 will be conducted from September 29 to October 5. Earlier, the exam dates were September 29 to October 1 and October 5. The Paper 2 exam of SSC CPO recruitment will be conducted on March 1, 2021.

Number of vacancies
This year, there will no recruitment for Assistant Sub-Inspector (Executive) in CISF. Also, the number of posts in SI (GD) CAPF has been increased. Besides CRPF and BSF, vacancies have been announced for ITBP, CISF and SSB. Check below the vacancy break-up.

Salary structure
Sub-Inspector (GD) in CAPFs: The post carries pay scale of Level-6. The pay scale is Rs 35,400-1,12,400. This is classified as Group B (Non-Gazetted), Non-Ministerial.
Sub-Inspector (Executive)-(Male/ Female) in Delhi Police: The post carries pay scale of level-6. Candidates are paid between Rs 35,400-1,12,400 and is classified as Group C (Non-Gazetted) by Delhi Police.

Selection Process
The examination will consist of Paper 1, Physical Standard Test (PST)/ Physical Endurance Test (PET), Paper 2 and Detailed Medical Examination (DME).
