SSC CPO Notification 2024: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) released SSC CPO notification on March 4, 2024. Earlier, the notification was scheduled to be released on February 15, 2024. However, it was delayed by the examination authority. Along with the notification, the application form was released. Candidates could fill out their application forms till March 28, 2024. SSC CPO 2024 exam will be conducted on May 9, 10 and 13, 2024. The selection process includes Paper 1, Paper 2, PET, Document Verification and Detailed Medical Exam (DME).

Q:   When SSC CPO notification 2024 was released?

A:

SSC CPO notification 2024 was released on March 4, 2024. The notification was released to fill up a total of 4,187 vacancies. A total of 125 vacancies have been announced for SI (Exe) in Delhi Police (Male), 61 for SI (Exe) in Delhi Police (Female) and 4001 SI (GD) in CAPFs. The notification has been released in PDF form and comprises the details related to the exam. 

 

Q:   When SSC CPO 2024 exam will be conducted?

SSC CPO exam is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) every year to recruit candidates for the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police and Sub Inspector in CAPFs. SSC CPO notification 2024 was released on March 4, 2024 on the official website to fill up a total of 4187 vacancies for Sub Inspector posts. Along with the notification, the application form was released. SSC CPO  2024 exam has been postponed due to Lok Sabha Elections. The new exam dates for SSC CPO are June 27, 28 and 29, 2024. Earlier, the exam was scheduled to be conducted on May 9, 10 and 13, 2024.

SSC CPO application form 2024 was released on March 4. The application form was available from March 4 to 28, 2024. Candidates could submit the application fees till March 28, 2024. The offline payment of application fees could be done till March 29, 2024. Candidates can correct the details entered in the application form within the prescribed deadline.

CPO is a Central Police Organization. The exam is held by the Staff Services Commission. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) was established in 1975, it is  mandated to select staff for various Group B and Group C posts that come under various ministries in the Government of India. SSC CPO is a national-level exam conducted by the Staff Selection Commission. The full form of SSC CPO is Staff Selection Commission Central Police Organization. The recruitment is done for the post of Sub Inspector and Assistant Sub Inspector.

Sub Inspector in Border Security Force (BSF)

The grade pay of SI in BSF is INR 4200. In-hand salary ranges between INR 35400 to INR 112400.

Sub Inspector in Sahastra Seema Bal (SSB)

The job profile of SSB is border guarding and armed defense to Intelligence Bureau and other topmost authorities in India. Grade pay is INR 4200. Inhand salary ranges from INR 35400 to INR 112400. The promotion opportunities are similar to that of BSF.

Sub Inspector in Central Industrial Security Force (CISF)

The job profile of CISF personnel contains guarding our PSUs (Public Sector Undertakings). The grade pay of CISF personnel ranges between INR 2400 to INR 4200. On Adding all other bonuses and allowances the in-hand salary ranges between INR 20,200 to INR 34,800 regarding the rankings.

Sub Inspector in Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)

They are determined to maintain law and order in the country. The grade pay is INR 4200 and after adding all other allowances, the in-hand salary ranges between INR 20,200 to INR 80,000.

Sub Inspector in Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP)

Their duty contains maintaining security along with India- the Tibet border and stopping illegal immigration from Tibet. The grade pay is INR 2000 and after adding all other allowances, the in-hand salary ranges between INR 6,460 to INR 80,000.

Assistant Sub Inspector in Central Industrial Security Force (CISF)

Grade Pay of INR 2800. With all other allowances and perks, the in-hand salary would be INR 5200 to INR 20,200

What is SSC CPO Salary?

SSC CPO salary for different posts is given below:

Sub-Inspector (GD) in CAPFs: The post carries pay scale of Level-6 (INR 35,400-1,12,400) and is classified as Group B (Non-Gazetted), Non-Ministerial.

Sub-Inspector (Executive)-(Male/ Female) in Delhi Police: The post carries pay scale of Leve-6 (INR 35,400-1,12,400) and is classified as Group C (Non-Gazetted) by Delhi Police.

What is SSC CPO Eligibility Criteria 2024?

SSC CPO eligibility criteria is that applicants inorder to apply for the exam should be between 20 to 25 years. They must have completed graduation from a recognized university or equivalent. Candidates who are appearing in the final year graduation exam can apply provisionally. All candidates who are declared qualified by the commission in the CBT, PET/PST and medical exam are required to produce all relevant certificates in original such as marksheet/ provisional degree/ diploma certificate as proof of having acquired the minimum educational qualification

SSC CPO 2024 Application Form

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria are required to apply online. SSC CPO application form comprises two parts-Part I: One-Time Registration and Part II: Online Application Form. The application fee is INR 100 and can be paid both online and offline. However, SC/ST/Women/ESM candidates are exempted from fee payment.

Q:   I am unable to upload my photo and signature while applying for SSC CPO one-time registration. What to do?

A:

Check size and format of photograph and signature files. Scanned colour passport size photograph should be in JPEG format and file size of the photograph should be in the range of 20 KB to 50 KB. Image dimension of the photograph should be about 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height). Similarly, scanned signature file should be in JPEG format having file size ranging from 10 KB to 20 KB. Image dimension of the signature should be about 4.0 cm (width) x 3.0 cm (height). The image of the signature should occupy at least 75% of the frame. The size of the photograph and signature should be as per the dimensions given by candidates.

 

Q:   I did not receive registration number and password on the email. What to do?

A:

You may check the ‘Spam’ folder in your e-mail. If email is not received even in the Spam folder, it is likely that you have entered wrong email-id. You may contact Helpline of the concerned Regional Office through a call or email. It is important to complete the one-time registration process before filling the application form. After one-time registration, the registration ID and password are generated. With the generated registration ID, candidates can fill the application form. The application form comprises several stages which candidates need to complete successfully inorder to apply for the exam. It is also important to upload the photograph and signature as per the dimension provided by the examination authority.

 

Q:   What are SSC CPO application fees?

A:

SSC CPO application fee is INR 100 for General and OBC candidates. All female candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Schedule Tribe, Persons with benchmark Disabilities (Divyangjans) and ExServicemen candidates eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee. After filling the online application form, candidates can pay the fees online only through net banking, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards. Earlier, candidates could pay their application fees through challan. However, the process of fee payment through challan has been discontinued by SSC. The application fees once paid by candidates will not be refunded. After fee payment, candidates should take the printout of the fee transaction receipt.

SSC CPO Exam Pattern 2024

SSC CPO exam pattern for Paper 1 exam of SSC CPO comprises four sections: General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension. There will be a total of 200 objective-type questions. The total marks allotted to the exam are 200. The duration of the test is 2 hours. Marks scored by candidates in Computer Based Examination will be normalized by using the formula to determine the result and cut off. The Paper 2 comprises English Language & Comprehension. The paper will carry a total of 200 questions. The total marks for the test are 200.

A:

SSC CPO Paper 1 exam is conducted online and comprises four sections. Each section of SSC CPO exam comprises 50 questions and the total marks allotted to the test are 200. The duration of the test is two hours. Each section carries 50 marks.
