SSC CPO Recruitment 2024: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts SSC CPO recruitment to select eligible candidates for the post of Sub-Inspector (SI) in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). SSC CPO Recruitment notification 2024 was released on March 4 to fill up a total of 4,187 vacancies. SSC CPO application form 2024 was available from March 4 to 28, 2024. The online payment of application fee could be done till March 28, 2024. The fee could be paid offline till March 29, 2024. SSC CPO 2024 exam will be conducted on June 27, 28 and 29, 2024.

 

 

Q:   When SSC CPO 2024 exam will be conducted?

SSC CPO exam is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) every year to recruit candidates for the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police and Sub Inspector in CAPFs. SSC CPO notification 2024 was released on March 4, 2024 on the official website to fill up a total of 4187 vacancies for Sub Inspector posts. Along with the notification, the application form was released. SSC CPO  2024 exam has been postponed due to Lok Sabha Elections. The new exam dates for SSC CPO are June 27, 28 and 29, 2024. Earlier, the exam was scheduled to be conducted on May 9, 10 and 13, 2024.

SSC CPO notification 2024 was released on March 4, 2024. The notification was released to fill up a total of 4,187 vacancies. A total of 125 vacancies have been announced for SI (Exe) in Delhi Police (Male), 61 for SI (Exe) in Delhi Police (Female) and 4001 SI (GD) in CAPFs. The notification has been released in PDF form and comprises the details related to the exam.

SSC CPO application form 2024 was released on March 4. The application form was available from March 4 to 28, 2024. Candidates could submit the application fees till March 28, 2024. SSC CPO Recruitment 2024: Application Process

SSC CPO application form can be filled online only. The application fees are INR 100 and can be paid both online and offline. SC, ST, women and ESM candidates are exempted from fee payment. The application form comprises two parts: Part I consists of One-Time Registration while Part II comprises filling online application form.

Q:   What are SSC CPO application fees?

A:

SSC CPO application fee is INR 100 for General and OBC candidates. All female candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Schedule Tribe, Persons with benchmark Disabilities (Divyangjans) and ExServicemen candidates eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee. After filling the online application form, candidates can pay the fees online only through net banking, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards. Earlier, candidates could pay their application fees through challan. However, the process of fee payment through challan has been discontinued by SSC. The application fees once paid by candidates will not be refunded. After fee payment, candidates should take the printout of the fee transaction receipt.

 

 

Q:   I am unable to upload my photo and signature while applying for SSC CPO one-time registration. What to do?

A:

Check size and format of photograph and signature files. Scanned colour passport size photograph should be in JPEG format and file size of the photograph should be in the range of 20 KB to 50 KB. Image dimension of the photograph should be about 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height). Similarly, scanned signature file should be in JPEG format having file size ranging from 10 KB to 20 KB. Image dimension of the signature should be about 4.0 cm (width) x 3.0 cm (height). The image of the signature should occupy at least 75% of the frame. The size of the photograph and signature should be as per the dimensions given by candidates.

 

Q:   I did not receive registration number and password on the email. What to do?

A:

You may check the ‘Spam’ folder in your e-mail. If email is not received even in the Spam folder, it is likely that you have entered wrong email-id. You may contact Helpline of the concerned Regional Office through a call or email. It is important to complete the one-time registration process before filling the application form. After one-time registration, the registration ID and password are generated. With the generated registration ID, candidates can fill the application form. The application form comprises several stages which candidates need to complete successfully inorder to apply for the exam. It is also important to upload the photograph and signature as per the dimension provided by the examination authority.

SSC CPO Recruitment 2024: Salary Structure

The salary structure of different posts is given below:

Sub-Inspector (GD) in CAPFs: The post is classified as Group B (Non-Gazetted) and Non-Ministerial. Candidates are entitled to a payscale of Level-6 which is INR 35, 400 to INR 1,12, 400.

Sub Inspector (Executive) in Delhi Police: This post is open for both male and female candidates. It is level 6 post classified under Group-D (Non-Gazetted). The post carries a payscale of INR 35,400 to INR 1,12,400.

Assistant Sub-Inspector (Executive) in CISF: This post is classified as Group C (Non-Gazetted). This post falls under Level-5. The payscale for this post is INR 29,200 to INR 92,300.

Q:   What is SSC CPO selection process?

A:

SSC CPO selection process comprises Paper 1, PET/PST, Paper 2, medical exam and document verification and final selection. On the basis of their performance in Paper-I, candidates are shortlisted for appearing in PET/ PST Examination. PET/ PST is mandatory but qualifying in nature. Ex-Servicemen are not required to undergo PET. Only those candidates who qualify PET/ PST are allowed to appear in the Paper 2 exam. On the basis of candidates' performance in Paper 1 and Paper 2, they are shortlisted for appearing in medical examination. Candidates, who are successful in medical examination, are called for detailed Document Verification. Final selection and allocation is made on the basis of the performance of candidates in Paper 1 and Paper 2 and the preferences of posts/force given by them at the time of document verification.

Sub Inspector in Sahastra Seema Bal (SSB)

The job profile of SSB is border guarding and armed defense to Intelligence Bureau and other topmost authorities in India. Grade pay is INR 4200. Inhand salary ranges from INR 35400 to INR 112400. The promotion opportunities are similar to that of BSF.

Sub Inspector in Central Industrial Security Force (CISF)

The job profile of CISF personnel contains guarding our PSUs (Public Sector Undertakings). The grade pay of CISF personnel ranges between INR 2400 to INR 4200. On Adding all other bonuses and allowances the in-hand salary ranges between INR 20,200 to INR 34,800 regarding the rankings.

Sub Inspector in Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)

They are determined to maintain law and order in the country. The grade pay is INR 4200 and after adding all other allowances, the in-hand salary ranges between INR 20,200 to INR 80,000.

Sub Inspector in Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP)

Their duty contains maintaining security along with India- the Tibet border and stopping illegal immigration from Tibet. The grade pay is INR 2000 and after adding all other allowances, the in-hand salary ranges between INR 6,460 to INR 80,000.

Assistant Sub Inspector in Central Industrial Security Force (CISF)

Grade Pay of INR 2800. With all other allowances and perks, the in-hand salary would be INR 5200 to INR 20,200

SSC CPO exam is divided into Computer-Based Test, Physical Standard Test (PST)/ Physical Endurance Test (PET), Paper-II and Detailed Medical Examination (DME). Paper 1 as per SSC CPO Exam Pattern comprises four sections: General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension. The paper will have a total of 200 objective-type questions. The duration of the test is two hours. The total marks for the test are 200. SSC CPO Selection Process 2024

All candidates who register for the exam are required to appear in Paper-I. On the basis of their performance in Paper-I, candidates will be shortlisted for appearing in PET/ PST exam. PET/ PST is mandatory but qualifying in nature. Only those candidates who qualify PET/ PST will be allowed to appear in Paper-II exam. On the basis of their performance in Paper I and II, candidates will be shortlisted for appearing in Medical Examination.
