SSC GD 2025: The Staff Selection Commission will soon release the SSC GD PET/ PST 2025 result. The SSC GD physical result 2025 will be announced at ssc.gov.in. Candidates who clear the physical test will be called for the SSC GD medical exam- DV/ DME. The CRPF will soon announce the SSC GD medical date 2025. It is expected that the DV/ DME round will begin around October 15, 2025. The SSC GD physical test 2025 was conducted from August 20 to September 12, 2025. The Commission aims to fill a total of 53,690 vacancies through the SSC GD Constable 2025 exam. The SSC GD Constable exam (CBE) was held from February 4 to 25, 2025. The SSC GD result 2025 of the online CBE exam was announced on June 17.

SSC GD Constable 2026: The Commission has announced the dates for the SSC GD 2026 exam. The SSC GD notification 2026 and application form will be released in November 2025. SSC GD Exam Pattern 2025

In the SSC GD exam, candidates need to appear for the online computer-based exam (CBE). The CBE is followed by the PST, PET and Medical Examination. Candidates need to qualify for all the stages of the SSC GD exam to finally be selected for an appointment. The number of questions in the SSC GD Constable exam is 80, and the marks allotted to each question are two marks. The time allotted for the exam is one hour (60 minutes). The maximum marks are 160. SSC GD Notification 2025

The official notification for the SSC GD Constable 2025 exam was released on September 5, 2024, for the Constable (GD) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and SSF, Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles, and Sepoy in the Narcotics Control Bureau Examination. The SSC GD notification PDF mentions the number of GD Constable and Rifleman vacancies for male and female candidates separately along with the SSC GD exam date. SSC GD Eligibility Criteria

The SSC GD notification contains all the eligibility conditions for the exam. The eligibility criteria contribute to the higher number of applications for the exam because the educational requirement is Matric/ High School only. There is an SSC GD age limit of 18 to 23 years. However, the upper age limit is relaxed for reserved category candidates. The SSC GD eligibility criteria are shared below in terms of nationality, age limit and educational qualification:

SSC GD Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed Class 10 from a recognised board. Candidates appearing for their qualifying examination (Class 10) are not eligible for the exam.

SSC GD Age Limit

Candidates should be between 18 and 23 years of age to apply for the exam, as per the age norms given in the official notification. However, there is an upper-age relaxation for reserved category candidates. The SSC GD age limit relaxation is as follows:

SSC Constable GD Selection Process

Every exam has its own process for the selection of candidates for recruitment. For the SSC GD exam, there is a three-phase selection process. The SSC GD selection process consists of the CBE exam, followed by PET and PST and then DV/ medical examination. Candidates who want to join the SSC GD should check the complete steps of the selection process below:

Step 1: SSC GD Notification & Application

The official SSC GD notification is the first official information about the number of vacancies, exam dates, eligibility criteria, exam pattern, syllabus and other important information. The candidates must read the SSC GD Constable notification to understand all the eligibility conditions given in the official notification. Candidates need to fill out the application form online on the official website of the SSC. The application fee for all candidates is INR 100 (women/SC/ST/ex-servicemen candidates are exempted from fee payment).

Step 2: SSC GD Admit Card

SSC GD Constable admit card is issued four days before the exam. Candidates need to download the SSC GD Constable admit card from the official regional websites of the commission by entering the required login credentials and date of birth. The admit cards for PET/PST and DME/RME are uploaded by the CRPF.

Step 3: SSC GD Computer-Based Exam

SSC GD CBE is the first of the three selection stages. SSC GD computer-based exam is conducted at designated exam centres across the nation. The test carries 100 objective-type questions for 160 marks. The question paper is divided into four parts - General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics and English/Hindi. The difficulty level of questions is at the matriculation level.

Step 4: SSC GD PET/PST

Based on the performance of CBE, candidates are shortlisted for physical tests such as PET and PST. The SSC GD physical test is qualifying in nature. The test is conducted at various centres finalised by the CRPF.

Step 5: SSC GD DV/ DME

Candidates who qualify PET/ PST exam then need to appear for the Document Verification (DV) and Detailed Medical Examination (DME), which is conducted by the CRPF, the designated Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).

Step 6: SSC GD Final Result

SSC GD final result is the last step of the selection process. The selected candidates are called to the respective force headquarters for the appointment.
