.National Testing Agency (NAT) on September 14, announced that the UGC NET 2020 exam will be conducted on September 24. The UGC NET exam 2020 is a national level exam and conducted across the nation. But this year, the UGC NET exam is clashing with the UPPSC exam 2019.

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) PCS main exam 2019 will be conducted from September 22 to September 26 in two sessions daily. The UPPSC will conduct the exam across the state. So this implies that the UPPSC PCS main exam 2019 will clash with the UGC NET exam 2020.

UPPSC had rescheduled the UPPSC Main exam 2019 several times because of the coronavirus pandemic. Earlier the UPPSC main exam was to be conducted from April 20 but was rescheduled to July 25 and then again for September 22. The UGC net exam was scheduled to be conducted from September 16, but NTA postponed the UGC NET exam 2020 by one week and now the exam will be conducted from September 24.

Various candidates will be eligible to appear in both the exams and hence the commission or the NTA require postponing the exam. It is very unlikely that the UPPSC will postpone the exam because it happened in the past also and the commission did not postpone the appearance.

The NTA has not issued the UGC NET 2020 time table and is in the process to release the UGC NET 2020 admit card soon. The UPPSC released the UPPCS admit card for the main exam 2019 on September 11, 2020.

The NTA is a central exam conducting body mandated to conduct various exams such as UGC-NET, NEET, JEE Exam, CMAT exam. Recently, NTA had conducted the JEE main exam and NEET exam on the prior announced dates.
