4 Days to CUET UG 2026; Check Dress Code and Permitted Items Now!
Common University Entrance Test is commencing in just four days. Students appearing for the examination can check out the dress code and permitted items at CUET exam centre.
National Testing Agency will conduct CUET UG 2026 exam between May 11 and May 31, 2026, in computer based test mode. The entrance test will be administered across 306 cities across India and 15 abroad, in two shifts. Students who have been issued admit card are eligible to enter the exam hall. Candidates must make sure to reach their allotted centre, at least one hour before the gate closing time. No entry will be allowed after exam centre's gate closes.
CUET UG 2026 Dress Code
Below is the dress code for CUET 2026, as notified by the National Testing Agency:
- Wearing articles or objects of faith is allowed if a candidate reports the same to the centre in advance.
- Wearing religious threads like Kalava is allowed.
- White light clothing is preferred by NTA.
- If a candidate feels the need to wear woollen clothes, the same is allowed, subject to reporting the centre in advance.
- Preferred footwear includes normal shoes, slippers and low heels.
Note: The motive behind informing the exam centre in advance is to enable smooth frisking.
CUET UG 2026: Items Permissible
Candidates are allowed to carry following items to the examination hall:
- CUET 2026 admit card
- Valid photo identity card
- Few copies of passport-size photographs
- Transparent water bottle
- 50 ml sanitiser bottle
- Fruits or medicines (only for diabetic candidates)
CUET 2026: Items Not Allowed
Following items are not allowed for candidates to take to CUET exam centre:
- Stationery items such as test-based material (written/printed), papers, notes, Pencil box, pouches, geometry box, pen, scale/ruler, eraser, etc.
- Electronic devices such as calculators, cameras, electronic pens, scanners, etc.
- Accessories such as bags, belts, caps, goggles, wallets, etc.
- Devices used for communication such as mobile phones, smart watches, Bluetooth, fitness bands, earphones, pager, etc.
- Eatables (packed or home-cooked), thermos, etc.
