While aspirants have been waiting for the CUCET 2021 notification and application form to be released, UGC has notified that CUCET 2021 will not be conducted and will be implemented from the next academic year.
The Central Universities will have to decide the admission process, which would most likely be conducted on the basis of the Board exam results. While some of the universities will conduct their admission through board exam marks, other universities will conduct their own entrance exams.
The Central Universities will release their individual admission criteria soon. CUCET is an all-India level entrance exam conducted jointly by 14 central universities for admission in UG, PG, and PhD courses offered in all the participating institutions. CUCET is conducted once a year across 120 cities in India. The exam is conducted in offline mode (pen & paper) which is for two hours. A total of 20 universities participate, including 13 central universities and apart from them, Dr B R Ambedkar School of Economics (BASE) is also a participating institute for the exam.
