National Testing Agency is expected to announce CUET 2026 exam date anytime soon. The exam will be held in Computer Based Test format across various exam centres in India. Candidates must apply for CUET UG 2026 online to appear for exam. The exam is conducted for admission to undergraduate courses.

National Testing Agency conducts Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduates. Candidates seeking admission to central, state, private or deemed universities in India must apply for CUET UG 2026 online. It is expected that CUET exam date 2026 will be announced anytime soon. The exam is expected to be held in May-June 2026. NTA will commence the CUET registration 2026 in first week of March. Candidates applying for CUET exam must ensure to fulfil the prescribed eligibility criteria to qualify for admission process of accepting universities.

When Can I Apply for CUET UG 2026?

CUET UG 2026 application form will release in first week of March 2026 at cuet.nta.nic.in. To apply for the CUET 2026 exam, candidates must ensure to fulfil the below eligibility:

  • Candidate must have passed class 12th or equivalent examination or must be appearing in 2026.
  • There is no age limit to apply for CUET UG. However, candidates must fulfil the age criteria of university they are desirous of taking admission in.

List of Qualifying Examinations:

  • Final examination of class 12th conducted by the Central/State boards.
  • Intermediate or two-year pre-university examination
  • Final examination of two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of NDA
  • Senior Secondary School Examination by NIOS
  • Any Public School/ Board/ University examination by AIU
  • Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination
  • A Diploma recognised by AICTE or a State board
  • General Certificate of Education (GCE) examination
  • High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva
Q:   Which subjects have been removed in CUET UG?
A:

UGC has announced the deletion of 26 subjects from CUET UG 2025 onwards. CUET UG 20 foreign languages and six domain subjects have been removed. Check the list below to know the name of the subjects:

  • Foreign Languages (French, Spanish, German, Nepali, Persian, Italian, Arabic, Sindhi, Kashmiri, Konkani, Bodo, Dogri, Maithili, Manipuri, Santhali, Sanskrit, Tibetan, Japanese, Russian, Chinese)
  • Domain Subjetcs (Entrepreneurship, Teaching Aptitude, Fashion Studies, Tourism, Legal Studies, Engineering Graphics)
Q:   What is the CUET marking scheme?
A:

NTA prescribes the CUET UG marking scheme. Check below to know the CUET UG marking scheme 2026:

  • Correct answer or the most appropriate answer: Five marks (+5)
  • Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark (-1).
  • Unanswered/Marked for Review will be given no mark (0).
  • If more than one option is found to be correct then Five marks (+5) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options.
  • If all options are found to be correct then Five marks (+5) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.
  • If none of the options is found correct or a question is found to be wrong or a question is dropped, then all candidates who have attempted the dropped question will be given five marks (+5) marks.

As per the latest CUET UG exam pattern, the CUET UG will now consist of 23 domain subjects, 13 langauges and General Test. The exam pattern for CUET UG is as follows:
