Telangana State EdCET 2025 has released the schedule and instructions for the Spot Counselling Round. The candidates who have yet to be allotted to any institution may be admitted to private unaided colleges for the BEd programs. All the details are available on the official TG EdCET website- @https://edcetadm.tgche.ac.in/

TG EdCET Eligibility 2025

  1. The candidate should be of Indian Nationality.
  2. The candidate should belong to Telangana.
  3. The candidates should satisfy the local/unreserved status requirements as specified in G.O.Ms.No. 15 Higher Education (TE) Department dated 27-02-2025. Admission to 85% of the seats shall be reserved in each course in the Educational Institutions in the State for the local candidates of O.U. Area as specified in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations and Admissions) Order, 1974 as subsequently amended, and

the remaining 15% of the seats shall be unreserved Seats as follows:

  • All the candidates eligible to be declared as local candidates of O.U. Area.
  • Candidates who have resided in the State for a total period of ten years excluding periods of study outside the State, or either of whose parents have resided in the State for a total period of ten years, excluding periods of employment outside the State;
  • Candidates who are children of parents who are in the employment of this State or Central Government, Public Sector Corporation, Local Bodies, Universities and other similar quasi Public Institution within the State; and
  • Candidates who are spouses of those in the employment of the State or Central Government Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Universities and educational Institutions recognized by the Government or a University or Other competent authority and similar other quasi-Government institutions within the State.
  1. Eligibility to different methodologies is followed as per G.O.MS No.24, dated: 24- 08-2017, G.O. Ms. No. 05 dt 31.01.2020, G.O. Ms. No. 14 dt 12-04-2021 and G.O. Ms. No.16 dt 11-06-2021.
  2. Candidate should have passed:

a) In any Bachelors Degree i.e. BA, BCom, BSc, B.Sc (Home Science), BCA, BBM, BA(Oriental Languages), BBA, or in the Master's Degree, securing at least 50%aggregate marks.

b) Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with 50% aggregate marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto.

c) However, candidates belonging to the reserved categories viz., SC/ST/BC and other reserved categories should have secured 40% marks in the qualifying examination.

d) Candidates should be required to produce marks memo and pass certificate at the time of Counseling for Admission

e) Candidates possessing MBBS/ BSC (AG)/BSC (Horticulture)/BSC (Architecture)/BVSC/BHMT/ BPharm and such other professional and job-oriented degree courses viz., LLB, are not eligible for admission into BEd course.

f) Candidates possessing a Master Degree without having undertaken Undergraduate study are not eligible for admission

6. Age Limit: The candidates should have completed the age of 19 years on 1 st July of the year in which the notification is issued. There shall be no maximum age limit

TG EdCET Eligibility

Mathematics

Candidates with BA/BSc with Mathematics as one of the group subjects, BE/BTech with Mathematics and BCA candidates with Mathematics at Intermediate level as a group subject.

Physical Science

Candidates with BSc who have studied Physics or Chemistry or allied subjects under Part-II group subjects. BE/BTech with Physics or Chemistry subjects and BCA candidates with Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry) at Intermediate level as group subject

Biological Science

Candidates with BSc/BSc (Home Science) who have studied Botany or Zoology or allied subjects under Part-II group subjects and BCA students with Biological Sciences at Intermediate level as group subject.

Social Science

All Candidates with BA with Social Science subjects/BCom/BBM /BBA and BCA students with Social Sciences at Intermediate level as group subject.

English

The candidates with BA in Special English/English Literature /MA English

Oriental Languages

Candidates with BA Telugu/Hindi/ Marathi/Urdu/Arabic/Sanskrit as one of the optional.

Candidates with Literature (BA-L)

(Telugu/Hindi/Marathi/Urdu/Arabic /Sanskrit).

Candidates with BA (Oriental Languages) in Telugu/Hindi/Marathi/Urdu/ Arabic/Sanskrit.

Candidates with Masterโ€™s Degree in Telugu /Hindi/Marathi/Urdu/Arabic/ Sanskrit.

Documents Needed for TG EDCET Spot Counselling

  • TG EdCET 2025 Rank Card
  • SSC Marks Memo Original
  • Intermediate or its equivalent Marks Memo Original
  • Original Degree / Provisional Certificate (PC) & Consolidated Memorandum of Marks (CMM) of the qualifying examination
  • Study Certificates Originals
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Caste Certificate, if applicable
  • Residence Certificate, if applicable.

TG EDCET Fee Details

The candidates have to pay the following Processing Fee at the college: Rs 500/- for SC/ST candidates and Rs 800/-for others at the time of joining, and an amount of Rs. 100/- has to be paid under the head โ€œTelangana Green Fundโ€

The TS EdCET counseling process is conducted to get the qualified candidates enrolled in the BEd course in colleges across Telangana. The entire process starts with eligible candidates registering for the counselling, paying the fee successfully, and the documents are verified after visiting the college physically. The candidates are allotted a seat, and admission is confirmed after the fee payment and document verification.
