The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment & Promotion Board (UPPRPB) released the UP Police OMR Sheet Filling Procedure & Exam Day Guidelines on February 7, 2024, on the official website. Candidates must adhere to the OMR-based exam format and answer 150 questions across various subjects. UP Police Bharti 2024 exam is scheduled to be conducted on February 17 & 18, 2024.
UP Police OMR Sheet Filling Procedure & Exam Day Guidelines
The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment & Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has announced an important notice on the official website regarding the procedure for the UP Police Constable Written Exam on February 7, 2024. According to the official update, the written exam will consist of objective-type questions & will be conducted in a Pen & Paper mode through the OMR Sheet. The UP Police Question Paper will contain 150 questions of total 300 marks, which should be completed by the candidates within 2 hours.
UP Police Constable exam will have a negative marking. A 0.5 mark will be deducted in case any candidate fills the incorrect option or the OMR Sheet incorrectly. - The candidates must use a blue or black pen to fill the circles in the UP Police OMR sheet
- In the OMR sheet, the candidates must fill out the circles completely without any discrepancy in it. The candidates can look at the example below in the image:
- The candidates must not circle the UP Police OMR sheet in the given ways below:
- Negative marking applies, with -0.5 marks deducted for every wrong answer or multiple answers filled for the same question
- While General questions will be presented in Hindi or English, other subjects will be in Hindi. In case of ambiguity, the English version will prevail
- Questions found to be incorrect or unsuitable will be cancelled and marks will be distributed accordingly, as per the court order

UP Police Exam Day Instructions 2024
Candidates need to follow the given UP Police Constable Exam Day Guidelines at the exam centres:
- Candidates should reach the UP Police exam centre at the time indicated against the reporting time in their UP Police admit card 2024
- No candidate will be allowed to enter after the gate closing time
- No candidate will be allowed to leave the examination hall before the end of the examination
- Upon completion of the examination, candidates are advised to wait for instructions from Invigilator. The candidates will be allowed to move out only one at a time
- The UP Police admit card is provisional, subject to satisfying the UP Police Constable Eligibility Criteria as given in the Information Bulletin
- Candidates are advised to verify the location of the exam centre, a day in advance so that they do not face any problems on the day of the exam
- If religion/ customs require you to wear specific attire, then please visit the exam centre a little early for thorough checking and frisking
- No candidate would be allowed to enter the centre without admit card, self-declaration undertaking, valid ID proof, and proper frisking
- Before reaching the centre, candidates must enter the required details in the Self Declaration (Undertaking) in legible handwriting, paste their photograph and put a thumb impression at the appropriate place on the admit card
- PwBD candidates (with a disability of 40% and more) will be allowed an extra time of 20 minutes per hour of the examination
- PwBD candidates must bring a PwBD certificate issued by the Competent Authority if claiming relaxation under the PwBD category. The Scribe provided by the NTA must also carry his/ her own Self Declaration (Undertaking) regarding educational qualification, passport-size photograph, valid government identity, and self-declaration (Undertaking)
- Candidates are not allowed to carry any personal belongings, electronic devices, or mobile phones to the examination centres
- Shoes/footwear with thick soles and garments with large buttons are not allowed
