Q:   What is the curriculum of B.Sc (H) at Kerala University?

Kerala University BSc (H) syllabus is divided into semester- pattern. The university provides only a single medium of teaching, i.e. English. During the three-year duration, students are required to study following courses:

  • Foundation courses are grouped into 4 major categories namely Ability Enhancement courses (AEC), Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC), Value Addition Courses (VAC) and Multidisciplinary Courses (MDC)
  • Discipline Specific Major
  • Discipline Specific Minor/Multidisciplinary
  • Research Component with dissertation, internship & field surveys
Q:   When was admission closed at MG University for BSc courses?

MG University released its application forms on May 15. As per the official website, the MGU CAP (Hons) admissions closed on Aug 31. MG University BSc 2025 applications are expected to be released in the month of May of the admission year. The important dates notification is published on the university official website. 

Q:   Is the CUET exam conducted in online mode?
A: 

From the year 2021 onwards, CUET is conducted in computer-based mode. Till 2020, the exam was conducted in paper-pencil based (PBT) mode. The exam will continue to be conducted in the computer-based mode or online mode. As per the CUET exam pattern, the exam was conducted in two to three slots, depending on the number of applications received in a subject. There were three sections on Language, Domain Subject and General Test (optional). The number of questions and marks will vary from paper to paper. 

Q:   Does KAU offers internships to BSc courses?
A: 

Yes, Kerala Agricultural University does offer internships to BSc courses. Moreover, as per the information available on the official website of the university, BSc students can get internships/ field training/ inplant training allowance. In these allowances, a student will get INR 8,000 per month. However, the exact duration and period of internship are not mentioned in the official website of the syllabus PDF.

Q:   What entrance exam scores does Vimala College accept for admission to BSc?
A: 

There are no entrance exam requirements at Vimala College in order to be admitted to the BSc programs. The following criteria are used by Vimala College to determine admission to the BSc program:

Students should have passed the Science stream 10+2 exam or an equivalent test from an accredited board.
A minimum cumulative percentage in 10+2 of 45% (or 40% for reserved groups) is necessary.
Physics, Chemistry, Math, Computer Science, Statistics, Biology, and Electronics should be the subjects studied in 10+2.
Based on merit in the 10+2 exam results, admission is given. You do not require a separate entrance exam score.
Students must apply directly, along with their 10+2 transcript and supporting documentation, to Vimala College.
Based on the 10+2 percentage, the college creates a merit list and contacts students for counselling.
