Panjab University Chandigarh admission 2026 is based on the entrance examination and merit. The final selection is based on PUMET, PU-CET (UG), PU-CET (PG), PU PGLAW, PUTHAT, PULEET, MBAUSOL, PU UGLAW, PU MPhil, and PhD Entrance Test. Merit is also considered for admission in some courses. 1. Application Process
The application process consists of first filling out the online application form from the University's official website and paying the application fee.
2. Selection Rounds
Students have to check what the eligibility criteria is for the course they want. For eg., MBA and PhD course require candidates to appear for an entrance exam, such as CMAT, whereas for UG diploma, BA, and BDes course, students are only needed to pass the merit criteria which is a certain percent of marks in Class 12.
3. Counselling & Admission Confirmation
After completion of the selection rounds, aspirants are required to come for counselling and document verification. For MBA, ACPC Counselling is required. Shortlisted aspirants need to confirm their seat by paying the fee.
The CUET PG application process for the academic session 2026-2027 was conducted from December 14 to January 23, 2026. While filling out the CUET PG application form, there was a high chance that the applicants might fill in some incorrect details mistakenly.
In order to correct the incorrect details filled by the applicants in the application form, NTA provided the application correction window from January 28 to January 30, 2026.
