CA dropping may not be good option, except the following reasons as:(a) Preparation gap before exams
(b) Score, according to your expectation.Apart from, you can pursue CA along with B.Com. However, You may consider the following options as (a)M.Com/MBA
(b) SSC/Bank P. O.(c)B.Ed(d) Public service commission. Etc.

I guess, the best courses are:B.Com (H),Economics (H), or you can prepare for CA too. And, try to score 90% to 95% in boards examination in order to get admission in Delhi University, because it is the best and internationally recognized too amongst other universities. Further, you can go for banking or UPSC exams too.

No, it won't be possible. You need to apply in the 1st year, and even if you plan to take admission in 2nd year, firstly you need to clear your backlogs only then admission is possible.
