Applicants who have passed B.Com one-year with minimum of 50% marks are eligible to get admission in B.Com (Hons), while for admission to B.Com (general) course, the minimum eligibility criteria is candidates must pass 10+2 with any 4 of these subjects Mathematics/ Statistics/ Commerce/ Accountancy/ Economics/ Computers or any vocational subject under commerce stream.

Yes, maths is necessary to pursue B.Com in Delhi University. According to Delhi University the admission for this course is based on best 4 subject's marks including maths. For further information regarding admission process and last year's cutoff visit DU website.

I don't have much idea about Punjab University so I cannot comment on it. But B.Com LL.B in UPES, Dehradun is good. You will learn a lot of things. Because the pattern of UPES academic is very nice. And if we talk about faculty then you will get excellent faculty here. You will get an excellent support from them.

Hello Vibha,
Commerce is a very wide field in terms of study and job. You can do cost accounting, corporate accounting, finance course and taxation course. These are certificate courses. You can do also CA, CS and ICWA these are the main courses of the commerce field. If you can attain a good knowledge of taxation, then you can get a very good job.

Most probably No. 80% for general category is not enough for admission into this college. Check last years Merit List or Cut Off List to know the minimum marks required. Last year my friend who scored 82% and was general category also wanted to take admission in the same college but wasn't alloted a seat.
