No, you can't get lateral entry in B.Com after Diploma. You can only get admission in B.Tech if you want to take admission via lateral entry.

Hello Sachin, It's very nice indeed to know your desire to become IAS. Good. My advise is to select that subject and course which fascinates you. In UPSC exam, your knowledge in your selected subject is tested. So it makes no difference whether you are B.A. Or B.Com or BE or MBBS. Thorough knowledge of the subject is what matters.

Hi Mayur, Seems like you are really trying too hard to study mathematics engineering. If you are not good ATIT then you should probably change your field. Plus, Commerce has a wide variety of choices. Science and commerce are far different from each other. See, every stream has its own career aspects. I am not saying that commerce is better or Science is better. It's just that, if you want to change your field, then don't think much, just switch.

Masters of Commerce in accounts and finance would be an ideal choice for someone who is interested in going into the finance field. If you are pursuing CMA, CFA or CA then it would be a good advantage for you to have a postgraduate degree along side, besides M.Com is really easy for those pursuing/who have finished the above professional degrees. It would definitely be better than plain B.Com at
