For IIT-B, the cut-offs in the past few years have been between 1.5K and 2K for aerospace. The same has been ~2.5K-2.7K for IIT-K, and ~3K for IIT-M and IIT-KGP.
Regarding marks, scoring slightly above 50% of the max marks will surely land you with a rank close to 2k, which is sufficient for getting Aerospace at IIT-K, IIT-KGP, IIT-M but maybe not IIT-B.
Get around 1015 marks more, and you will nail IIT-B aerospace.

Hello,
From this year onwards, Tamil Nadu government has decided that admission will be based on the marks obtained in class 12th, and as a result, cut-off marks of previous years have no significance.

Hi Abdul,
I can understand your situation and angst. I feel the only choice for you now is to see admission under management quota. For this, you need to contact the institute directly. They have an NRI quota also. I would advise you to ask someone to visit college personally and speak to the principal.

Most probably, I guess, you will get a seat in Aeronautical Engineering in Andhra University.
Generally, the seats in AU gets filled up by rank 1k for departments like CSE, ECE and Mech.
So, most probably there would be a vacancy by the time you go for counselling.
All the best!

It depends on your own interest. The scope of aeronautical engineering is not well in India but Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) has good scope in Indian as well as foreign airlines. The work of aeronautical engineer is to design, research and development of an aircraft and we also know that India only purchase aircraft from other countries. So, in India there is no more need of aeronautical engineers but you want to make your career in foreign airlines then it is the best job in aviation sector.
