Hello, While it comes to universities for aeronautics, US leads with the number of universities with UK, Singapore & Australia following. The jobs/placements too are more in US for aerospace in comparisons to any other country.

In India, principal employers are DRDO, HAL, Armed Forces and few private companies. But future appears to be quite bright with many high value projects in collaboration with Russia & France coming on to stream.

Aerospace engineering is normally a regular engineering course controlled by AICTE. While aircraft maintenance engineering means course on maintenance of commercial airlines that is controlled by DGCA. The latter will get you a job and good pay while former can not guarantee you a job.
