Answer actually is in dictionary. Aerospace is the name of industry that produces Aeronautical products. It's as simple as this. But in India both terms are used in either fashion.

These days Admission to engineering colleges is through some or the other entrance exam. It could be JEE Mains or state CET. Admissions are almost not given based on 12th marks.
