Aeronautical industry in India is not all that developed. This puts restrictions on job opportunities for an engineer of this branch. This year average package in IIT Mumbai, was declared as Rs.11L. Thus we can safely assume that package for Aeronautical branch students would be around Rs.5-8 L.

Satellite communication for those satellites orbiting Earth is one subject and communication with satellites going into deep space is another subject. Salary on placements majorly depends on the institution from which you pass out. IITian will get better salary than an NITian. But then afterwards, your own hard work and reputation will carry the day and will decide your salary.

You have two routes to achieve your dreams. Firstly, with your excellent marks, you can seek lateral admission in Aeronautical Engineering branch in a Maharashtra college directly in 2nd year. Alternatively, you can appear for JEE Mains and Advanced to get admission in any IIT as 1st year student.
