Dear Srujan, I am not sure which university's placement you are asking about aerospace engineering. Being alumni of LPU, I will share the placement details of aerospace engineering at LPU. To the best of my knowledge, the highest package offered for B.Tech in Aerospace is Rs. 31 LPA and the average package is Rs. 4.8 LPA. Every year, more than 500+ companies visit LPU for recruitment including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are CODE Nation, Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. In which they are placed. PEP Classes- LPU provides placement classes to all the students from the very first year who opt for the placement. With the help of this, they can prepare themselves for placements till the pre-final year because the companies will start visiting for the recruitment of students from a pre-final year. Some of the students go for internships also in their final year. The Knowledge Review has rated LPU as the 10th best Training & Placement Institution in India. Recently, LPU achieved the Guinness World Records title of "the largest online video album of people saying the same sentence, " where students are thanking LPU for making them a part of its the largest PLACEMENT NETWORK!
Outlook has ranked LPU 5th among the top 50 private state universities

The highest package offered was 31LPA by Code Nation. Aerospace engineering has the worst placement records. Only 5-10 people have got placements from college and more than 5 were placed in IT jobs. The highest package offered maybe of 7 lacs as far as I know. Not more than 20 percent got internships from the college last year.

The students with the guidance of the department and University are very active in the field of automobile research and activities. A student has an Automobile club under Society of Automobiles India, Under which the teams have participated in various competitions by making their vehicle in Supra SAE (Student Formula CAR), Baja SAE India, BAJA SAE USA, Efficycle (LPU Hosted the SAE Efficycle event in Oct-2015. Organized International Go-Kart Championship which is a student-initiated automotive event the first international event of its kind receiving participation from all over ASIA. The Mechanical Department has highly experienced and qualified staff pursuing their research in thrust areas such as CAD/CAM, Mechanical design, Thermal engineering, Fluid dynamics, Manufacturing Engineering, Tool design, and Flexible Manufacturing Systems/Automation. The department has to its credit more than 48 research publications in International, National Journals including prestigious ASME Transactions, International Conference and National Conference. The eligibility criteria for B.Tech Aerospace Engineering at IIST is given below:
(A) Eligibility criteria : Minimum Marks Requirement in Qualifying Examination: Candidates must have secured at least 75% aggregate marks in the Class XII (or equivalent see below for list of Qualifying Examinations) Board examination. The aggregate marks for SC, ST and PD candidates should be at least 65%. The marks scored in the following five subjects will be considered for calculating the aggregate marks:1. Physics2. Chemistry3. Mathematics4. A language (if the candidate has taken more than one language, then the language with the higher marks will be considered). Any subject other than the above four (the subject with the highest marks will be
considered).
(B) Minimum Marks Requirement in JEE (Advanced)2020 Examination: Candidates should have appeared for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main)-2020 conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA), to qualify themselves to appear for the Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced)-2020 conducted by IITs and secure the minimum prescribed marks by IIST.
So, from the above Diploma students are not eligible for this course.
