Hello Taniya, For getting admission in B.Tech Aerospace Engineering in IIT Bombay, one has to qualify in JEE Advanced. All admissions to the Undergraduate Programs at the IITB for all Indian and Foreign nationals are made through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and departments are allocated based on personal preference and the JEE rank. So, to get admission in Aerospace Engineering at IITB or other IITs you to score decent marks and secure a very good rank in JEE Advanced. For NITs, IIITs and CFTIs you have to score decently in JEE Mains. Eligibility criteria for IITs is as below
The candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with an aggregate of at least 75% marks. For SC/ ST and PwD candidates, there is a relaxation of 10% as they need the aggregate of minimum 65% marks. JEE Main is applicable for admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs participating though Central Seat Allocation Board subject to the condition that the candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination. So you have to appear for JEE Mains qualify that and appear for JEE Advanced and qualify that. I feel you are best qualified to get admission in University of Toronto in aerospace engineering. You have a CGPA in excess of 9, in addition you had done your Bachelor of engineering in Aeronautics branch. These two factors in combination will get you admission there perhaps very easily. However I will like to add a word of caution here. Admissions in any foreign universities have many nuances in the whole process. Hence I would advise you to approach an institution or an agency which is dealing with sending students for MS abroad and specifically to Canada or to University of Toronto. They will be aware of different nuances and hence can guide you in a much better fashion for you to succeed in your dream of going there for your further studies. University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun offers B.Tech in Aerospace engineering. The eligibility criteria for the same is as under:
1. Minimum 60% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th) and Minimum 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics at Senior Secondary level (12th)+ UPES Engineering Aptitude Test UPES-EAT Online Test. The last date to apply for UPES-EAT is 25 April-2019.
2. Only candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 1, 1997, are eligible to apply for admission. Apart from this B.Tech admissions are also done on the basis of JEE Main score, The eligibility criteria through JEE Main is as under :
Admissions through JEE - Minimum 60% marks in class 10th, 60% marks in class 12th and also have an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Maths (PCM) in class 12th +JEE-Mains rank.
