Almost every state has entrance exam for engineering and restrictions of domicile. But many private colleges conduct their own entrance exam. JEE Mains is also there. Your nephew has to appear in one of these it all of these exams for admission.

To have an educated guess, we need to calculate total seats available at Hyderabad & other campuses vis-a-vis those who want actual admissions. From this parameter I feel that you have very slim chances. However if you are really keen, you can explore perhaps management quota option.
