AFCAT syllabus for the common subjects are same for all the branches. The exam also comprises subject-specific subjects. The syllabus for those subjects are different. Candidates should be well versed in the AFCAT syllabus. The syllabus comprises the topics and sub-topics that candidates need to prepare for the exam.

Final-year students who wish to join the Indian Air Force can take the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT). Students in their final year of graduation may apply for AIR FORCE but must pass their exams without backlogs and show their degree certificate salary before the 15th of July in the relevant year. All candidates must fulfill three eligibility requirements consisting of age range from 20 to 24 years combined with 60% graduation marks and no marital status.

No, you are not yet qualified to complete the AFCAT form.  You will turn 20 in August 2027, and the AFCAT minimum age requirement is 20 years old.  After you reach the age requirement, you can apply for AFCAT in subsequent cycles.

AFCAT 1 cut off 2025 was announced on March 17, 2025. The total cut off out of 300 marks is 121. This cut off is common for all the categories. Candidates who qualified the exam securing the cut off marks were selected for AFSB interview.

AFCAT 1 result 2025 was released on March 17, 2025. The result was announced on the official website. However, we have provided the direct link to check the result on this page. Along with the result, the cut off was also released. Qualified candidates will appear for AFSB interview.

There are no sectional timings in AFCAT exam. The duration of the test is two hours. AFCAT exam carries questions from General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability and Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test. The total marks allotted to the test are 300.

The window to correct the details in AFCAT application form is made available after the closure of the registration process. Candidates are not required to pay any fee to edit AFCAT application form. Only two sections are editable, 'Fill Application Form' and 'Upload Document'. Using the correction window, candidates can edit the details such as Candidate's name, Father's name, Passport Size Photo, Signature, Thumb Impression. No other fields are editable.

AFCAT educational qualification for Ground Duty (Technical Branch) is that candidates must have passed with minimum 50 per cent in Physics and Mathematics at Class 12 level and a minimum of four years degree graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/ Technology from recognised University or cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India or Graduate membership examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies with a minimum of 60 per cent or equivalent in various engineering disci
