IAF AFCAT exam 2016 eligibility criteria:
The Candidates applying for Air Force Common Admission Test 2016 conducted by Air Force should meet the below eligibility criteria such as educational qualification and Age limit.
Educational qualification for AFCAT exam 2016:
1. For Flying Branch: Candidates should possess graduation in any discipline or B.E/ B.Tech with minimum 60% marks.
2. For Technical Branch: Candidates should possess 4 years degree qualification or cleared sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India with minimum 60% marks.

NCC is not compulsory to join IAF after class 12th. However, if you want to join as a commissioned officer in IAF, it is advisable for you to join NCC. It will help you to build your personality, which will be very helpful during SSB.

You are eligible for SSC (Information Technology) in Indian Navy. Indian Air Force hires only engineering graduates in the technical branch. However, you are eligible for non-technical branches in IAF. You can apply for IAF ground duty branches by applying for AFCAT.

As you have completed your 12th now you are eligible for NDA exams . Please check the UPSC website and get apply for NDA. It is the finest way to go in flying branch in Indian Air force.
